which laptop is the best?

I built my desktop on a budget build for 500 bucks, I'm running an amd fx series 4 core processor and for my gpu I have an evga nvidia GeForce gtx 550 ti, and I could probably run bf3 on at most high settings and get decent fps, I reccomend a desktop for a budget build.

My Nvidia NV 3100M runs everything i want to run and then some. would probly run MW3 if i installed it.runs everything else. Only issue is heat. If i do not have adequate ventilation, my FPS goes down the toilet.

But which is best? I realise neither of these come with monitors an im fine with buying them separately.

The first is much more powerful, but many of the specs on it can't be reached unless your OS is Win 7, the second is less so, but would only require Vista to take advantage of it's specs. So keep the OS cost in mind when making your choice as Win 7 will set you back another 100+ last time I checked and Vista 60+.

thanks for the advice and will i be able to reach very high specs on games like skyrim or any of the others I mentioned in this topic?

Yeah no problem on both systems, the first will also last you through the next year at least at max spec and the next five in lower specs.

Well it depends on how fast they advance, sometimes you can run a card for 10+ years, other times even new ones will go obsolete in 5, it all depends on how fast the tech advances from this point. Given current advancement I'd say you can run through the next year or two at max spec, next four at mid spec and the last two at low, but that's just a best guess.

Be careful with both of them, I just noticed neither one comes with an OS, which is like £100 on top of what you've already paid.

The first one has quite an outdated GPU and less RAM

Second one has a slower processor but the better GPU so you won't see much difference in gaming speeds.

yeah i know they dont come with operating systems and ill also need a monitor but im sure ill find the money somewhere

So seeing as the differences arent that big i may aswell go for the 2nd one as its £100 cheaper
