ok the only reason y i went to battles was thats the only thing that medievel can have an affect thats from medievel only (or could be)
the plot...............LOLZ
the plot in star wars and lotr is SO defferent
and love................how many damn movies have love storys in it , medievel cant influence that......as a matter of fact if medievel can then freackin rocks can then

if ur a person thats looking for a good love story , go see twilight .... not lotr
and medievel movies or sci fi movies

besides the influence, lotr has turned something that was not that popular into an amazingly overused theme. Star Wars was successful for theatrical influence in itself, but as far as the movies themselves go, they are not amazingly epic esp if u average out with the prequels. Basically those first 3 were decent but since that anything with star wars on it is just there for sellability. Besides KOTOR no good SW game has really come out, jkja is only semi decent but accepted because there is no alternative saber wielding game for PC users. All prequels were fail, revenge of the sith was OK........toys are overpriced bits of plastic that break in 10 days, something I'm trying to get into my brothers head. Really, its just been riding on its name for a long time, and now that the older audience has been exhausted by a long shot, its catering to the kids to try and squeeze as much out of that as well. Lotr stands on its own and was not even made for commercial purposes originally. That's why the long descriptions, Tolkien didn't give a damn if he would be rich or famous, he was working on a piece of art that would satisfy him and didn't suck up to the general public, which is what most current entertainers do JK Rowling being a big case in point.

if we were looking at both of them side by side without knowing what they were or their impact, etc. Then the lotr movies rape the SW ones. The prequels had good effects but gay ass acting. And the old one had a good plot but outdated technology that is only laughable in the current era. If they did a remake of the old ones, without changing stories (but use megan fox as leia Razz

) then that would make the two movies on par

You really think that LotR could hold a candle to the original trilogy? They were good enough movies, but Star Wars changed the face of cinema for a reason, because they had innovative plot elements and a drawn in story which you would know if you'd actually watched Episodes 5 or 6. You wanna talk about side-by-side comparison and previous examples obstructing objective conclusions? How about the whole hour of my life that was wasted at the end of Return of the King? Take out the books, leave just the movie, and the final one would have bombed for that last hour where NOTHING HAPPENED!

in the eps 1-3 had some damn good action in it
and in 4-6 it also had som DAMN GOOD ACTION IN IT

ep1;the begining , with in 5 mins of the movie BAM ACTION (in lotr u have to wait thourgh haf of the damn movie to get to action,fotr that is),then the pod race....i thought was pertty kool, then the fight with darth maul...HE LOOK LIKE THE FREACKIN KID DEVIL with a double red light saber ...how the freak is that not kool as HELL
ep2;with in 3 mins of the movie some 1 blows up *BOOOOOOM*,then obi-won and and anakin are chaseing sam W. and that was pertty fun, then obi-won have a bad ass fight with jango and then they fight in space,now ill admitt that the stuff in between jan and obi - the jedis in the battle arena was boring a bit (for me it was), then the clones show up and start pwnin and then u see a huge EPIC BATTLE GOING ON , then after anakin and obi-won get beat up by a old man ...yoda shows you and every 1 was stunned when they saw that little old frog kick some but for the first time,
ep3;well ill be damn, action off the bat , not is it a little battle...its A FREACKIN WAR IN SPACE HELLZ YEA and u have obi-won and anakin flying though all of that shit , it was the BEST OPENING FOR A MOVIE EVER,then when they land in the ship they fight a bunch of droids kills the old fart and fight and buch of magna guards, and do a EPIC LANDING, then thers the BOSS fight with obi-won and grieves , while a big war is in the back ground (man do u remember that awesome scene ware the clone is shooting the crab droid and when he gets it down he jumps on it and shoots in in the head and continues to pwn, FREACKIN BAD ASS RIGHT THERE) , while we see the wookies take some droids down (but sucked becouse they didnt show alot of it Sad

), then u got obi-won and anakin fighting while at the same time yoda and sideis o and guess what ....there both EPIC

well crap i dont have time to post for 4-6 (some 1 eles take over ware i left off if u like)
