Ok. We did this on the last forum and it went pretty well, with new people it should provide more of a challenge. In this topic, post any quote from the LotR movies (original, not the extended) and tell me where to end the quote. I will do this all based off of memory. Don't tell me which movie the quote came from, just give me the quote and tell me where to finish it and I will do so.

LOTR is just like, brilliant, only way to describe it, one of those creative masterpieces that come along every so often that change the way people look at some types of literature or literature in general.

Gandalf: A wizard is never late, Frodo Baggins... Nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means too.

Frodo: It's wonderful to see you Gandalf!
Gandalf: You don't think I would miss your Uncle Bilbos birthday.

Frodo: What news of the outside world? Tell me everything.
Gandalf: Everything!? Curious for a hobbit.. Even one such as you... OH what can I tell you? The world is full of their comings and goings...scarcely aware of the existence of hobbits. For which I am very thankful.

Gandalf: Oh! A long expected party... How is the old rascal?
Frodo: You know Bilbo. He's got the whole place in an uproar
Gandalf: Well that should please him.
Frodo: Half the Shires been invited
Gandalf: Oh?
Frodo: He's up to something.
Gandalf: Oh really?
Frodo:Alright then keep your secrets. Before you came along we Bagginses were very well thought of.
Gandalf:Indeed.
Frodo: Never had any adventures or did anything unexpected.
Gandalf: If you're referring to the incident with the dragon, I was barely involved. All I did was give your uncle a little nudge out of the door.
Frodo: Whatever you did, you have been officially a 'Disturber of the Peace'
Gandalf: Oh really?

(Some kids come over yelling Gandalf. He launches said fireworks)

Frodo: Gandalf my old friend, I'm glad you're back.
Gandalf: So am I dear by... So am I.

(Gandalf pulls up to Bilbos home and knocks on the door)

Bilbo: No thank you! I don't want anymore visitors, well wishers or distant relations.
Gandalf: And what about very old friends?

(Bilbo opens the door)

Bilbo: Gandalf?
Gandalf: Bilbo Baggins
Bilbo: My dear Gandalf!
Gandalf: Good to see you. One hundred and eleven years old who would believe it? You haven't aged a day... (laughs)
Bilbo: Come on, come in. Welcome..welcome. Tea or maybe something a little stronger? I have a few bottles left from the old vineyard. It was layed down by my father. Lets say we open one, eh?
Gandalf: Just tea thank you. (hits the chandelier and then the ceiling)
Bilbo: (in the distance you can barely hear what he says) I wasn't expecting you at all, but thats normal you come and go as you please. I am afraid I don't have much to offer you. I have jam, some apple tart. Oh wait... We're alright, I found sponge cake. I can make you some eggs if you'd like... Gandalf?
Gandalf: Just tea thank you.
Bilbo: Oh right... You don't mind if I eat do you?
Gandalf: No not at all.

(knock at the door calling for Bilbo)

Bilbo: Blast these confounded relatives hanging at the door all day, I never get a moments peace. I want to see mountains again Gandalf, MOUNTAINS and then I can find somewhere quiet where I can finish my book... Oh tea.

(Bilbo gives him tea)

Gandalf: So you mean to go through with your plans?
Bilbo: Yes yes. All the arrangements are made.
Gandalf: Frodo suspects something.
Bilbo: Course he does. He's a Baggins not some hard bottle from Grayscaddle.
Gandalf: You will tell him, wont you?
Bilbo: Yes.
Gandalf: He's very fond of you
Bilbo: I know. Probably come with me if I asked him. I'm old Gandalf. I know I don't look it, but I am beginning to feel it in my heart. I feel..thin like... butter scraped over too much bread. I need a holiday. A very long holiday. And I suspect I won't return. In fact I mean not to.

(Cuts to them smoking their pipes)

Bilbo: Ahh Old Toby. Finest weed in the south parlor.

(Blows smoke rings and Gandalf blows out a ship)

Bilbo: Gandalf my old friend...This will be a night to remember

(Fireworks are going while people are talking during the party. Not to mention the dancing and drinking. Don't forget the guy who is hanging out by the ale barrel =o)

Frodo: Go on Sam. Ask Rosie for a dance.
Sam: Eh. I think I'll just have another ale.
Frodo: Oh no you don't.

(Pushes him into Rosie and they start dancing. Frodo laughs. Cuts back to Gandalf shooting fireworks. Bilbo starts walking through the crowd and greets people)

Bilbo: Fatty Boulger! Welcome welcome.

(cut's to Gandalf and more fireworks for the kids)

Gandalf: Up they go! (laughs)

(Cuts to Bilbo talking to the children about his encounter with the trolls)

Bilbo: There I was. Sitting amongst three monstrous trolls and they were all arguing amongst themselves as to how they were gonna cook us. Wether they would sit on us one by one... squash us into jelly. They spent so much time arguing that the sun peeked over the tree tops and withertoos ... POOF and turned them all into stone!

(Cuts to Merry and Pippin. Merry lifts Pippin into the fireworks cart.)

Merry: No no the big one... Big one.

(Pippin grabs the dragon firework and they both gasp. Cuts to more fireworks from Gandalf)

(Pippin lights the firework in a tent)

Pippin: Done.
Merry: You're supposed to stick it in the ground!
Pippin: It is in the ground!
Merry: OUTSIDE!
Pippin: THIS WAS YOUR IDEA!

(Firework shoots up along with the tent. Everyone claps. The firework forms into a dragon and flies towards Bilbo. Everyone runs and screams)

Frodo: Bilbo... BILBO WATCH OUT FOR THE DRAGON!
Bilbo: Dragon? Nonsense there hasn't been a dragon i these parts for a hundred years.

(Frodo falls to the ground dragging Bilbo with him. They watch the dragon go into the air and explode into a spectacle of fireworks. Everyone claps)

Merry: That was good.
Pippin: Yeah. Let's get another one.

(Gandalf grabs their ears)

Gandalf: Merrierdoc Brandybuck and Peregrin Took... I might of known.

(Cuts to the crowd yelling 'Speech Bilbo' and bilbo getting on the platform to give his speech)

Bilbo: My dear Bagginses and Brandybucks. Buchs, Chugs, Windblowers, Boulgers, Grayscaddlers and Proud Foots.

Proud foot: Proud FEET!

Bilbo: Meh. Today is my one hundred and eleventh birthday!

(Everyone yells happy birthday)

Bilbo: Alas, eleventy one years to live amongst such brave and admirable hobbits. I don't know half of you half as well as I would like and I like half of you half as well as you deserve. I uh... I have things to do... I've put this off for far too long. I'll be going now... I bid you all a very fond farewell... Goodbye.

(Bilbo disappears and everyone but Gandalf gasps. Bilbo gets to the door and walks inside. He flips the ring and puts it in his pocket and walks to the living room)

Gandalf: I suppose you thought that was terribly clever?
Bilbo: Come on Gandalf! Did you see their faces?
Gandalf: There are many magic rings in this world Frodo Baggins and none of them should be used lightly.
Bilbo: It was just a bit of fun... Oh you're probably right... as usual. You will keep an eye on Frodo wont you?
Gandalf: Two eyes. As often as I can spare them.
Bilbo: I'm leaving everything to him.
Gandalf: What about this ring of yours? Is that staying too?
Bilbo: Yes, yes. It's in an envelope over there on the mantle piece. No wait it's here in my pocket. Isn't that... Isn't that odd now. (He stares at the ring)
Gandalf: I think you should leave the ring behind, Bilbo. Is that so hard?
Bilbo: Well no... and yes. Now it comes to it. I don't feel like parting with it. It's mine, I found it. It came to me!
Gandalf: There's no need to get angry...
Bilbo: Well if I'm angry, it's your fault. It's mine. My own. My precious!
Gandalf: Precious? It's been called that before, but not by you.
Bilbo: What business of yours is it what I do with my own things?
Gandalf: I think you've had that ring long enough.
Bilbo: You want it for yourself!
Gandalf: BILBO BAGGINS! DO NOT TAKE ME FOR SOME CONJURER OF CHEAP TRICKS! I AM NOT TRYING TO ROB YOU! I'm trying to help you.

(Bilbo goes to Gandalf scared, crying on his shoulder)

Gandalf: All these long years, we've been friends. Trust me as you once did. Let it go.
Bilbo: You're right Gandalf. The ring must go to Frodo. It's late the road is long... Yes it is time.
Gandalf: Bilbo... The ring is still in your pocket.
Bilbo: Oh... heh

(Bilbo gets the ring out and drops it on the floor)

Bilbo: I've thought up an ending for my book. And he lives happily ever after... Till the end of his days.
Gandalf: I am sure you will, old friend.
Bilbo: Goodbye Gandalf
Gandalf: Goodbye dear Bilbo.
Bilbo sings: The road goes ever on and on. Down from the door where it began!
Gandalf: Until our next meeting.

(Gandalf goes back into Bagend and looks at the ring. He attempts to pick it up but is unable to. He breaks out his pipe and smokes it while pondering the events that just occurred.)

Gandalf: Riddles in the dark... (Frodo calls out Bilbos name in the background, faintly) My precious (Gandalf blows out a puff of smoke)
Frodo: Bilbo.. He's gone hasn't he

There are mistakes. 100% sure of it. A dialog that long, there will be a mistake or two, probably more than that even.
