Go to a computer show, find someone willing to custom build, and look up the parts you want. They'll usually add a hundred or so for labor, but it'll be cheaper in the long run.

So you want to be ripped off instead? OK look into ASUS for your best power/price ratio, Alienware for highest specs but it'll cost more and they tend to weigh a ton, HP will give you the best customer support but you won't get real high specs, Dell is quick and dirty but forget support for it.

not ripped off. and itll be too much trouble to build the laptop myself. or pay someone else to do it. and that still doesnt help me with my price range. i was asking if you guys would please help me specifically find one.

a friend of mine is building a computer beast for around $700

you really are better off building your own computer. have you actually tried going to a store and talking with them on what you want?

you guys are idiots. professional companies already fuck up a lot of their gaming laptops when they build them, wich are tested again n again. and youre teling soran to go to some bloat to build it in his free time just because its cheaper? in the long run, youre risking your money in building a machine that might not even be well optimized. having a good GFX or processor is nothing if yuo dont know how to use them well. and building a custom laptop is much more expensive than buiding a custom desktop.

soran, first of all, be sure you want a gaming laptop. they are expensive, clunky n break a lot. second of all, go to asus or toshiba or vaio. they are makin some nice things. lastly, dont expect it to be perfect. almost all gam laptops have one issue or two at least.

Didn't say he wouldn't have to do his homework. And Soran you've given us NOTHING to work on for a specific laptop so we can't help you.

that one had some issues when it came out, but i believe its pretty good to buy now. thats another thing. never buy a laptop that just came out. let them iron out the issues.

Preety good in RAM can mean anything from 4 - 8GB. Good graphics card can mean anything from "plays everything on the market now, plays everything on the market now with high specs, will play everything on the mark through the year, or plays most everything on the market except highly intensive games. And good specification can be anything from a powerful dual core to an octacore. The price range for the details you're giving us is anything from $300 to +$2,000.

I would not get a sony PC unless there was nothing else, then i would stop and think about it.

Bang for your buck = Asus
buck for the bang = Alien ware

Ara bought a XPS from Dell and it works well but is a bit more pricey, course i get a discount from dell through where i work. He also got the extended and accidental damage warrenty.

Yeah the reason I have to be so anal about specs Soran is because a Dual Core with 4GB RAM, PCI Express motherboard, & a gfx card that supports pixel shader 3.0, directX 10, & contains 512MB dedicated RAM will run anything at low spec last time I looked. Right now computing power has outpaced gaming requirement by a huge margin. A Quad Core with 4GB RAM and a good card can run anything at maximum spec, and we have both hex and octa cores out there.

hmm well thinking about what you guys said, even with the 1500 budget, thats prolly pretty high since im not gonna be playing any uber crazy intense games on there. jus some online games and possibly some shooter games. soo maybe if i drop it to a 1000$ budget, would i still be able to get a nice one?
