first off if anyone has read the federalist papers it would be that in general the parties were opposed by almost all the founders. However, Madison argued organizing ourselves by this is intrinsic in human nature and that we really can't do anything but constrain its negative effects. Enter in some Montesquieu and balance of powers, etc. done
