Star Wars the Old Republic

I don't know for you but true fan of star wars must beat both KOTOR games, for that time amazing graphic and story, open world, choices that you can make in game, creating your character and with him/her you write story and make galaxy to be in light or darkness. It's very interesting and fun game to play, and to talk with NPCs, and each of them has its story to tell, which depends of that how much they respect you, and you gain respect if you help them with their problems and if your choices are same as they would chose on your place. And you get feeling that you and your character are one same person and you see your importance in game. For those who don't know, it's Star Wars Knights of the old Republic. But such great game lacks one thing, it's not multiplayer game, it's just singleplayer game. But that will change soon. Bioware works on Star Wars the Old Republic MMORPG long time and they have amazing progress. So it's massive multiplayer online, and you can call it killer of other MMOs.

Unlike KOTOR this game will offer more classes, and unlike other MMOs everything will have it's voice, all NPC can speak, and you can have one companion with you that can betray you if your choices are different then companion's or if you can influence him/her , then companion can change it's believes and follow every your step. I don't know for sure but I think that companion can be NPC or a player, "the choice is yours!". Once you do something that's it, there is no turning back, reloading save like before, but you can always switch side and you can always start new character and go other way. Races are still question for me, I dont read that much, but seeing all those avatars it looks like there will not be only humans for playing. Of course game will not be free, eventually free private servers will show, but I tell ya that this game will be worth to pay for. There is a lot information, stories, timeline, a lot of shit to read and enjoy, just go on its site and enjoy in other videos and screens. And I just wounder who would like to be my companion from here?

its ridiculous to pay 30 dollars a month to PLAY in a server, when 30 dollars a month can actually pay your OWN server. i agree with monthly pay for server maintenance, i just think you pay too much for it.

This game will make me to start using credit cards even that i don't trust them. They will try to make private servers, but it will be hard to be good as original ones. Perfect example is Aion, where exp is unstable and quests and friend list is buged and not usable, and Aion is not from yesterday so pirates could play TOR normally maybe around 2013 or 2014.

I don't think that you can just pay for TOR server, you'll have to work with other people to make it run on your own. Aard should know better, it would be so cool if we would have our own JvS TOR server.

it may not be capabe of having a couple htousand people at the same time in it, but for a 200 people server you pay like 200 euros a month, im not sure on prices. what i mean is, i bet LucasArts owns their own servers, all they pay for is the electricity, so charging 30 dollars a month to play a game is a rip off. 5 dollars....ok i cna take that number.

when a way to make your own personal server (private) comes out ill be glad to try this game
same thing i did to WoW run my own server so i can quest in peace (story FTW)

fun aspects get nerfed in patches later down the road and completely screw the game to hell for some
like runescape i will never forgive them for removing the PvP

Holy shit, was that the Exile? Woman Jedi Master wielding a Cyan double-bladed lightsaber. Sounds a lot like the canon Exile from Kotor 2.

Anyway, I want them to make a REAL Kotor 3, not this MMO shit. You want to make an MMO, fine, but don't make it replace the greatest Star Wars Single Player experience the in the history of man. I won't play this game, my system is too low, and I do NOT do P2P under any circumstances.

The woman is obviously jedi consular, she looks like Bastila but it can't be since this should be 300 years after KOTOR II and Bastila was jedi sentinel, which is also strange that it can be the exile old 300 years with that good hot looking. A lot of characters reminds me of original KOTOR like attack on Coruscant where sith leader looks like Lord Malak (but shorter) and followed by twilek that looks like Mission Vao, and also there is a bounty hunter that looks like Mira. All is strange but this is new story, they could be easily their grandchildren or something. It will be hard to miss such game Aard, as MMO it will not ask you for monstrum of PC. Nothing will replace old legendary KOTORs, this is more like it's improvement.

Actually, compared to the graphics of games like Mass Effect 2 and even Assassin's Creed 2, ToR has very poor graphics and an unoriginal idea. It's essentially an upgraded SWG, but intruding on a series people know and love in an attempt to make more money. I want my fucking Single Player Kotor 3 where once I pay for the game I don't have to keep paying. Most of this TOR will be non-PvP, which basically means you'll be paying 30 bucks a month so that you can play Single Player on a Multi-Player server.
