and ara, dont elude yourself, your country was falling WAYYYY before obama. its not even completely your governments fault. i think its just how it is. China has presented itself as a new commercial power, japan offers better services, and the knowledge and science that used to come from almost exclusively america is now more worldwide spread. the octopus extended its tentacles so far thru out the world, that there is no longer a head for them. its not an octopus anymore, and its just a worldwide blob now.

wich is why Trump should make you guys go out with a bang of laughs and world trolling.

Not really. Our gas prices have never been this high nor our economy in such a poor state. If you want to be technical, it's been falling since it's existence because it's not a perfect system so of course it was falling before Obama. All I'm saying is that he's done nothing positive for the country since he's been in office. It's all gone down hill in so many aspects...but I'm not gonna argue anymore. It's pointless because it never gets anywhere.

see thats the problem, you are blaming the fact that oil runs out and america is not the number one go to anymore in one man, who to be honest, is prolly trying to save you from a much worser shock. capitalism thrives on market. when the market stops existing, wich is whats happening in america, it starts crumbling down. its really easy to blame it on one person. it hasnt been falling down since its existence. from 30 years to now it has begun a slow fall, accentuated further and further as it goes.i STILL do not believe people blame gas prices on presidents and governments. and when your economy is based on oil....it is oil you must speak of. and that is running out. fast. no economic plan will stop that, be it socialist or capitalist.

Btw, dray, you are quite right. We do not have much oil here, not enough to create a significant impact on our situation. Also, stagflation of the 70s drove oil prices higher than even now, so, Ara, you would be wrong in that respect.

Besides, America isn't a capitalist society, it is a free market based economy with substantial government investment.
By your standards, Washington was a socialist because he supported giving Indians the means to farm with and because he supported the creation of a national bank, doh! /read your history texts children

Don't know a lot about how America works, but I know for sure, that Donald has the power to make it happen if he really wanted to, and that even though you think that they use the power for their own good, and not think about the population, it's not really like that. Yes, they may be a bit selfish, but they do what they can, they're not stupid, they try to make it better for the people, because if they do that, they gain more power. So even if u don't like how everything is ran there's not much more you can do, besides hope that things will get better.

America has changed substantially from a society vested in the public "virtue" to what is now a "phantom public" where self interest drives political decision making, which, in the earliest days of the founding of America, would have been seen as perverse and undemocratic.

The American system is also controlled by monied interests, but, if you understood my reference to the Phantom Public, you would understand that was implied.
