well it looks like the protests started that way but it looks now like they are being subverted by those wishing to establish a more religious state. they have shown themselves for what they are when they demand more than what is offered and try to turn violent when they do not get it. also, less than 5 - 10% of the population are actually protesting. It is always the squeaky wheel that get the grease.

this will be bad for the world as it will effect oil prices which will effect everything else. The protesters that started this to get a real vote will loose the right to vote all together and when they complain about that they will be crushed.

If they refuse they get put in jails. Israel massarced over 30,000 unarmed people in the 6 day war. Then they sunk a u.s war ship that witnessed it. Then pretty much told the u.s it wasnt their problem. They are told not to bomb certain buildings in gaza and the west bank. Like certain U.N buildings and humanitarian buildings and camps. Not only do they ignore the U.N and the rest of the world. THey do it over and over again. When they bomb buildings in the west bank(near their border), they rebuild them and put jewish families in them. Slowly taking more and more land, and increasing the military presence in that area.

I think both the Israelis and Palestine are in the wrong. There is so many problems that are irreconcilable. Both sides don't even view the others as human beings with. Yasser Arafat basically said that the Israel state has no right to exist and that they deserve nothing less than utter annihilation.

Likewise, the Israeli do not want to compromise and have been ruthless with the Palestinians. However, unlike what RSG asserts Palestine is also guilty. If you remember, Palestine had multiple terrorist groups committing atrocities. Look at Munich with Black September. Look at the PLO which Yasser Arafat was connected to. Or how about the Entebbe raid started when palestine terrorists hijacked a plane carrying Israelis.

Though Israel is corrupt, Palestine is not any better. The two, 3, and one state solutions will not work. I feel the only thing that could work would be a U.N intervention and partition line drawn such as in Bosnia Herzegovina. Ethnic groups with too much history and hatred have no hope of even some peace without a partition line

yeah you're right but violence can be curtailed by what the UN did in Bosnia. They still have animosities but they are separated. Maybe a UN force (not the peacekeepers) should be down there at all times, but that's unfeasible considering expenses.

And i agree 2 wrongs dont make a right, but israel is the more mature entity, with more potential destructive power and more influential allys. they are in control of that region. Because the Arabs refuse to accept the Jewish states right to exist. 4 times since the establishment of Israel, all of her neighbors have attacked with the expressed purpose of destroying Israel. each time they have not only failed but lost territory.

In 1946 the Brits divided Palistien into 2 states the Arab state they called Jordan. Arabs were allowed to immigrate there.

the west side, a much smaller strip of land was allocated to the Jews. November of 1947 the UN voted to create 2 states for Arabs and Israel. The Arabs REJECTED THE COMPROMISE. In fact the Mufti of Jerusalem said "I declare a holy war my Muslim brothers MURDER THE JEWS! MURDER THEM ALL" around that same time.

I notice that the article didn't mention the arms that the Palistinians stored there or the fact that they were firing rockets into Israel from the courtyard of both locations...
