Exactly, a MAC does what you need without crashing daily. PC can do more because of it's third party software availability, and it crashes constantly.

As I once heard said:

PC+Games+Money for Advertising+Software Monopoly>MAC
Who needs a fair fight when you can call in your posse like a little bitch?

Yeah but I see no where near as many MAC ads as I do ads for Windows 7, and the "I'm a PC!" ads. By the way, most of the things they show on the Windows 7 commercial is something I can do on XP.

The last statement wasn't an argument, it's a "Why are you so excited when you can do the same thing in XP?" statement.

Im sorry for stereotyping, but its true to a certain level.
you think for a second, that even HALF mac users check their computer's specifications, cross reference with what is good and what isnt?? NO, they are just told mac is better, and buy the neat thin silvery machinery....uuu its sparkly..... that link champ gave shows a 'bit exagerated' example of what i mean.

My PC rarely crashed in the 5 years i had it. almost all of its crashes were my stupidity. A Mac doesnt need taking care of, it baby carries you all the way. btw Nihil, it works for basic stuff. open program, edit some homework, use visual eenhancement tools(your photoshops and your gimps), listen to music(btw, Itunes fucking sucks, i hate you RealTime, i hate you for making people your slaves), maybe play Mineswe..oh nevermind, or go on your favourite sites. so, it pretty much does what an iphone d..OH SNAP! it doesnt work for the stuff i wanna do.

like websites, making games, making stuff, and it was actually better for doing my homework back then. i dont know about you guys, but if a PC crashes and ur in M Word or any Office program, it makes a back up file, so when u get back up the PC, nad u run the program, ur work is there. the 'My whole work is lost!' excuse doesnt work there. btw, Excel is endlessly useful program for many sectors in the job market.

Well, ya, time machine is for the deeper lost stuff, otherwise, when something happens the mac just opens it up the next time you click on word.

I think it may save it, I don't know, I've never had a problem with it before, but i do know that it will pull it back up, like cycled checkpointing for your documents.

Actually Dray, I've never had Office recover a document for me, ever. Open Office does, but not MS Office, not in my experience. And Dray, I run my PC very efficiently, defrag every week, virus and spyware scan everyday, registry scan every week. I don't overload programs, don't download dicey programs, and don't open any unknown URLs or Emails I don't know the sender. And yet my comp still crashes at least twice a week, for absolutely no reason.

wow then there is something seriously wrong with that computor. My computor is a pc from 2005, was cheap then, is crammed with stuff, and I dont exaggerate when i say it has NEVER CRASHED ONCE, when every single mac I have used in the past has crashed at least once (no kidding, even ones I used quickly in school for about 1 hour)

Mine's from 03 Guth, and it crashes often. I honestly think your statement is BS, I have many geek friends and they all have several crashes a week, the only reason I can think of that yours wouldn't is that you must never use more then one program at a time.

Ironically, or just to prove my point, I'm writing this from my Linux based Laptop because my Windows Desktop crashed in the middle of a flash video.

statement is not BS, i have never experienced a crash on any pc, only ever on macs, and i often run many programs at once with no ill effects. Ironically last night my sister was helping print some homework because my computors microsoft word was deleted when i left school i got this at, and i needed writing to be formated on that so i typed it and emailed it to her to format on her computor, which is a mac. my computor was fine when i was doing the work, hers crashed 4 times, and then refused to recognize our printer when it was plugged in, and then refused to restart so we could try it over. (even more ironically we had same problem as in video, where it says that you need to unplug, and if its a laptop you are screwed... guess what my sisters computer is?)

Well I've used MACs as well, and I've never once had a crash, error report, or every a graphic glitch. On the other hand EVERY SINGLE PC I've EVER used has crashed at least once, and a lot of them crashed almost daily.

joo has a fucked up PC Aard. maybe its all the nerd searches for Star Wars. your pc must be reading it and going, shiiiiit, im gonna crash on this nerrrrrrrd!

honestly, i think you just have bad luck xD. ive fucked up this computer so much, yet it keeps reliable to me. doesnt fuck my works, doesnt crash, the only problems i have on a daily basis are internet connection, but thats cause im on the upper floor, using wireless, and the router iswayyyy far, so it crashes a bit on the internet, but the pc and the programs....never.
