Mac vs PC
Re: MAC vs PC
nowadays, mac's are more user friendly.
Oh, and Nihil, if Microsoft wanted full market, this is what they'd do:
Create Mac virus.
Spread thru net.
Watch as thousands of users perish.
Watch Mac crumble to ashes, as its users suddenly wake up to the fact that they are vulnerable.
And this, would be the biggest Lulz creation in the history of the webz.

Hmm.. in my opinion theyre both about the same when it comes to ease of use. Although if you are used to one. The other will seem hard.

wow that image is...SO wrong....
1. if your not a gaming kid who just bought a computer to play Counterstrike, you WILL use most of the stuff in ur pc, if u wanna actually WORK on a computer.
2. MAC's parts are easy to replace and find? fuckin lies. and if not, PC parts are much easier, so thats an unvalid argument. the computer im writting this in is right now open box, and i can take all the parts i need with no problem, and wont cause me trouble.
3. never needed a instruction manual to run a PC, becuz to be honest, for BOTH computer systems, if a error ocurrs, you dont know what the fuck it is, in BOTH cases. failure on both.
on a final note, you should think a bit about the part tat says 'u dont need a course to run a Mac' and think if thats really a good thing after all....if its just a case of picking up and using, with no instruction on how to use, dont u think that makes whats in it....too simple for working on it? and of course, im not saying u need a course to run a PC, im just saying u have to LEARN somethings, either alone with experimenting for a while, or at school with some basic training. your basicall saying...a Mac is a console....without games AH!

Re: MAC vs PC
I can argue the same about the first picture. The only limitation I've found with MACs is that Microsoft has cornered the market on so much software that it's next to impossible to find a retailer willing to take a risk. I've never had problems running a MAC, never had any random errors occur on one either. When I first got my PC I had to take a shit load of useless applications off that I would never use and that ate my RAM.
Face it boys, if you equal the availability for both it's in favor of MAC for being simpler and crashing less.
By the way Dray, have you ever installed Windows onto a blank Hard Drive? I have, twice, each time it took well over a day to get it to work and I was on the help line for hours because it wouldn't take half the information I put in, and in the end, they had to show me how to override a shit load of things to get it working. I've also installed Linux to a blank Hard Drive and had it running in less then an hour with a full anti-virus, anti-malware, and firewall as well as full updates and a few essential programs like Open Office and Epiphany. Don't go saying Windows is easy to run, I've had one, I've taken it apart, I've fixed software sometimes at a code level and even I have to look up some fucking error at least once a month. PC parts, while easy to find, are insanely complicated to sort thanks to the myriad of greedy corporations and their unwillingness to make universal components.

Re: MAC vs PC
you ahve bad luck son. lol. i can install windows in an hour or so. but guess what happens when a mac goes? you dont fix it. period. it goes away to some obscure shop somewhere in the world, and you wait for it to come back.
its not dynamic, and sure as hell does not please a person who wants to actually make a living out of working on a computer, like me. the first image is quite accurate.Macs are safe, Macs are pretty, and i grant it, they have some cool stuff, but Macs dont do shit, i dont care if its the market's fault. they have some MAC made programs, here and there, but those are too small programs. i need hardcore stuff to work.
they found a way to make the Ipod and the Iphone super fucking gigantic didnt they? and its the most selled phones and mp3 of like ever. so its Macs problem if they cant do the same with their computers. Your blaming their lack of variability on another company? fuck that. You want Mac's safeness, but u forget its lack of complexity and potential. Thats why PC's are so hard. You only buy a Mac if your a person with a teenager kid who only goes on Myspace and plays Sims or Minesweeper and chats on AIM, and does NOTHING else with a computer other than that. Or maybe your a amateur movie maker, and since all movie makers use macs, cause it has the best programs, you have to have one too.
PC's are nice, unless its Vista, cause Vista is a fucking piece of shit that should be burned alive.
Get a XP, fifty times better.
And it works.
EDIT: btw, many of the software that Mac is incorporating nowadays is OS transfer, basically, Mac is borrowing programs originally built for PC....lul

Re: MAC vs PC
MAC has a hold on the market for iPhone and iPod because they released the first quality products of their design, just like Sony had a market hold when they released the PS2 before Xbox and just like Microsoft now has since they released the 360 before the PS3. Whichever is decent and comes first wins, Windows did it originally, and originally they DID have a good product, but it's gone to the shitter since the 90s. Right now MAC has the better hardware and software incorporation, but they can't get a third party to sponsor them since everyone has been brain-washed into "Windows or nothing." Take the same game and same graphics card from a PC and put it in a MAC and the game will run smoother and look better, but good luck finding a company that decided to go the extra mile and include a MAC compatibility option.
You want to make something work for a living? Get Linux and use free source, it's much better then paying hundreds for the crappy Windows OS. Using GIMP I can not only do the same as I could in Photoshop, I can save it AS a Photoshop file, something Adobe won't do for GIMP files. Using Open Office I can make any document Word can and I can even edit and save it as a Word document for any MS Office program from 95-07. Using Java, HTML, XML, and C++ I can program and run a site or server with just as much functionality as any paid-for site. If I can do this with Linux, I can do it with MAC, so your argument is invalid. Many people making livings with a MAC, not a PC, and if you're work is in the Graphics Art field they RECOMMEND a MAC for it's improved Rendering.
Edit: 6 a.m. bedtime =P

Re: MAC vs PC
Well linux is awesome, and you know very well GIMP was made for Linux.
One important difference to define here is MAC hardware and MAC software. Art and Design fields recommend Macs becuz of their basic software, becuz a PC in terms of hardware, has much more potential for Rendering. thats a fact. but most people dont take the time to go to a shop, make their own pc, with the things THEY need, and pay for the thing. no. they want a shiny mac, with evth already ready for them. no picking, no needing to know ANTH about computers....
They tell you to get a mac becuz its able to give u a decent hardware and a decent software for rendering, since macs, (again with the uber simplicity) pack evth nicely for you and ship it, so all u have to do, is double click and start spraying around ur images. If your a programmer thou, fuck mac. literally. fuck mac. they suck for that. all those languages you told....fuck mac. i know what im saying here now, and one thing i know, is macs and programming will never be friendly compatible. Oh and Open Office...also for PC originally.
Dont put Linux in this, Linux is like the bastard child who didnt get what he trully deserved. thats why im getting a computer with Linux and ALSO installing Windows 7(if im able to) on it. so i get the two things i need. none of them, a Mac.

Re: MAC vs PC
I think both pictures say the same thing. The PC is a complex versatile machine which is much more capable of handling multiple tasks, while the MAC is simpler and easier to use. I guess it boils down to personal preference and intelligence, although I think this Maddox clip sums up my feelings:

Re: MAC vs PC
LOL. Obviously macs play JKA. I do. WTF are you talking about ArcWolf, have you seen the latest mouse? Thank you. STFU. As mentioned macs can play windows perfectly so you have both systems if you're that much of a pansy. And the webcam pic of replacing the whole computer...hmm......mac introduces alot of things in to the market. That was introduced maybe (off the top of my head) two maybe three years ago, now go into a bestbuy or whatever and you'll see that all the windows laptops have them and some computers. So BITCHES pretty soon you'll all send in your computers to change the EFFIN webcam.
Love you all.

Re: MAC vs PC
I agree with champ and gal here
I think that if they fix the pc's stuff then its a viable option
a mac just works and does what i want, thats why i use it,
don't need any special games for a mac just homework ^^
