MAC vs PC

I vote PC, becuz i think it still has potential to be a good company....my idea has always been this:

Macintosh has always strived for more market, so their development and OUTPUT have been 100%, or close to 100% of what they can do.

Microsoft has become lazy, launching average programs, becuz it controls teh market. i say its working at 50% of its full potential.

If teh market were more balanced, market laws would dictate that both companies would strive much harder, and THEN, you would see some awesome development. but as long as the market is ruled by PC, it will be a bit stale as it is. i disliek macs, but i sure hope they start selling a bit more, so we can get the machine running.

the only thing i think apple has done well is its i pods

what happens when u are rarely caught by a mac virus? your dead. basically. your dead. its rare, but it can happen. and the more the market grows towards them....the more dangerous it gets.

mac is....pretty, and its design is....smooth n slick. its efficiency is....questionable thou.

I've used both Macs and PCs and i have to say, macs run faster, have nice smooth graphics that makes work easier, and all that stuff. Not to mention it does a great well in recovering work.

When it comes to the big works stuff like running java and stuff, pcs work a ton better. Also just crushes mac when it comes to games ^^

tru, while seeing so many wires would scare some ppl, those many wires mean that you can variate sooo much in parts. im not sure if Champ was talkin about Mac Computers or Mac Software thou....cause u can run windows in a mac computer so....

oh also, most ppl i know who have mac hardware have instaled windows in it. they simply need it for work.

i say if they start selling more, ppl will have much more quality from both sides.

yeah macs have more bugs than windows xp or vista did
and pc's have been around since the stone-age man they just keep gettin better and better

Had PC for 5 YEARS, no viruses or crashes until recently, when i went into what i thought was a trusty link, and caught a spyware.

Macs are much better against that stuff, viruses, and get the job that i want done right every time, with none of that annoying PC stuff, like these useless pop ups that you HAVE TO READ THE ENTIRE MANUAL, just to get rid of.

Mac's always come with the ' i do what i need in a mac' excuse, cause they cant possibly deal with PC. i imagine what a mac user would say if they saw Ubuntu. They d go like " FUUUU, THIS IS A PIECE OF CRAP, I CANT DO NOTHING, DIS R TOO COMPLICATEEED"

I have a life besides the computer, so I need something that works so I can fill my head with knowledge of Physics, Math, History, you get it.

Oh ya, since i'm in Indianapolis at this swim meet i'ma usin' my dad's laptop, it has Ubuntu.

He does a programming thingy, its a program XD for his statistician job, and he has trouble working it.

He hated the fact that P&G moved over to a pc system from mac, he always found the mac much easier, which it is.

HOWEVER, macs can't do all the really neat stuff that PCs can do, if you can actually find it in the PC and in the instruction manual kinda thing ^^

<-- never used a instruction manual. EVER. and i consider my self very computer literate. Mac's are for casuals, ppl who dont wanna think while using a computer. Irony of ironies, games are for PC's lol, so casual ppl who like playing video games gotta have a pc.

think about it, your making double the eeffort, so you will have a much more capability when u find easier situations.

a quicker solution to...powerpoints, documents, general running speed...??

Pcs are just too volatile

macs win in all those compared to the PC i have. Although... I do really like that swirly thing that the PC has i think thats neat, the background starting background for it.

ive used both for long periods each, and one thing ive always found bizarre is how people say pcs r harder to use then macs, i find the opposite. the old school, kind of meat and potatoes lay out of pc makes it easy to navigate, while i find macs very confusing and annoyin to use. Also the reason that macs very rarely get virus's is because virus's r targeted at pc, often by the apple company itself (has been sued multiple times because of this) on the rare occasion a mac does get a virus it is unfixable as there is simply no program to delete virus's on macs. Lastly the other argument, that macs programs r better for things like design and stuff is heavily flawed, as for any program on mac there is an equal to it on pc somewhere, I personally know people who study and teach design, and of them one perfers mac, while about 10 find pc better.

macs run on unix stuff so they are more secure, its older tech

well yeah... but i still used it a lot and found pc easier to use when i started using pc
