Voting contributes to what? It only serves to enable this puppet government who serves their own agenda and needs like any other dictatorship.

Thus by voting, you are ENABLING them to continue. If no one voted, then there would be a massive controversy.

what we vote for is what we get, not all politicians are corrupt, but we just keep letting them come back in, the corrupt ones.

Unfortunately no one votes for a no-name poor person. That used to be the way the country was, you could go on the road and debate and promote your election with little or no money. But not anymore.

If I reformed the system, elections would start at the local level. If you lived in a town, it is YOUR responsibility to get yourself known and to go door to door or whatever to spread your campaign. IF you pass this election (could be vs hundreds of people), then you will get a small stipend from taxes to run a campaign on a county wide level. You could then run your campaign county wide and you would face elected individuals from every city and town in the county. Larger cities wold of course present more candidates. Perhaps you could even allow a certain amount of candidates based on population.

Once you win this election, the county wide one, you will then get an even larger stipend from taxes to run a state wide election. This will be each winner of every county now facing off in an election. The winner of that election will then face the winners of every other state, and receive an even larger stipend from taxes to campaign on the national level. Finally, the top 2 winners of the states elections can then face off in a true debate/campaign with massive funding from taxes.

This system would allow even the lowest class person to get into office, and rightfully so. It would remove the necessity to have millions of dollars to even think of being a politician. It is a system which would produce much better candidates for political positions.

Also, even more sleazy people could lie and cheat their way into office.
