So I decided to look at the character sheet, a lot of stuff added so I thought I would add some more canon info.

Forms: Lightsaber Forms in SW weren't just a nifty way to find out where you fit, they were the teaching method used to train Jedi. All Knights, before being granted the rank had to be able to show the basics of both Form I, Shii-Cho and Form II Makashi. Shii-Cho was used to introduce Padawans to the lightsaber, it taught methods of combat for how a lightsaber could be used and how it differed from a normal blade. Makashi was a dueling style used to teach Padawans the basics of blade on blade combat. Now while all Padawans were required to know the basics of these two styles before becoming a Knight, they were not limited to such, and often either, expanded their knowledge on the two styles, or began to learn another. Padawans were allowed to begin learning Forms III, IV, & VI on top of the two basic Forms. Form V was limited to Knights and Masters, and Form VII was limited to Masters only.

Now this is the basic info, but there's also further categories such as Guardian, Sentinel, and Consular for the Padawan and Knight levels and Historian, Weapon Master, and Watchman for Masters. Guardians were the only group allowed access to all types of lightsaber and often had experience with Dual wielding or Double-bladed lightsabers. They focused on lightsaber combat to the exclusion of all other ways and hardly ever used the Force. Sentinels were closer to a specialized Jedi, they usually focused on non-Jedi related skills and solutions primarily, and an even mixture of Force use and lightsaber combat. They favored a Double-bladed lightsaber for it's odd and varied use. Consulars were diplomats and Force users, they focused on Force primarily, skills secondarily, and lightsaber combat lastly. They favored a Single blade for it's control.

Weapons Masters were the epitome of fighting prowess, they were skilled expertly in both blade use and offensive Force use and were the only group to know the use of Form VII. Some were sufficiently skilled with a lightsaber that they were able to dual-wield double-bladed lightsabers. Watchman were the first line of defense in a system and had a large repertoire of non-lightsaber and non-Force based combat, they would often use the Force to aid their variety of skills by sharpening bodily functions. Most relied on a pair of Forms, often greatly contradicting such as Forms III(defensive) & IV(offensive). Historian were scholars and Force Masters, they could recount the entire history of conflict in the Galaxy and cite many precedences, as such they were great Diplomats and Consultants. They also had a wide array of powerful and obscure Force talents, and relied on their Lightsaber only for defensive purposes.

I need to come up with a balanced combat system, how the force powers will work vs that system, and the bonuses knowing certain saber styles give (im thinking some will give + to attack, - to defense and other way around for others etc).
