Rockets take less then 2 seconds to impact. Takes "think fast!" to a whole new level.

Well depending on the size of the explosion, im guessing the launcher estimates distance to target, or locks on a target and will detonate at a proper distance rather than impact. but if the blast is not large I dont see why a jedi could not force push a rocket away like in the JKA game.

Because the rockets in JKA go at about 10 mph, a real rocket travels at about 200.

Yeah they would have to have one hell of a good reaction time to push that away. Some of the games make them almost godlike in strength and ability. If they were all that powerful then they wouldn't have nearly been wiped out by a bunch of clonetroopers and stormtroopers who only use laser guns.

In SW yes they are. Blasters are SUPPOSED to travel at lightspeed in the series, but there have been hundreds of instances where a torpedo or missile travel faster.

they balanced classed so no OP, its a game, will there be a point of making other classes if they make them extremely weak and useless against force users, no1 wld play those classes then, there would be like 95% force users population on servers, and like that it wouldn't be fun to play since other classes would be weak, then add like creatures that will be challenging to non force users, then for force users there would be like no challenge at all in PvE, only PvP if you jedi runs on sith, but otherwise player sith level 30 kills 20 players troopers who are above level 50, so if they would make it like in movie where one jedi slays hundreds of non force users in battle you would say "why they did not balance classes", every class has it owns way of play to make it unique enough to be what it is without OP, which is fair to every player, if you like to push rockets so much you can always play some other SW game.

UPDATE

http://www.swtor.com/info/systems/flashpoints

What FlashPoint is all about wrote:Band together with your most trusted allies to undertake some of the most dangerous missions in the galaxy! Flashpoints are action-packed, story-driven adventures that test a group of players to their limits, putting them up against difficult foes in volatile situations. You and your group need your wits, your skills, and all your resources to emerge victorious. Every Flashpoint begins with an exciting story and contains difficult decisions – choose carefully, because your group’s choices have a meaningful impact on the challenges you’ll face, the enemies you’ll fight, and the outcome of the story! All the danger is certainly worthwhile; the rewards from Flashpoints are some of the most powerful you’ll find.

Taral V is just one of several unique Flashpoints in Star Wars™: The Old Republic™. Every Flashpoint takes a group of Imperial or Republic players through its own self-contained adventure, culminating in one of several outcomes based on player choices. You won’t have to miss out on any of the story, though – Flashpoints exist in specially instanced parts of the galaxy and can be repeated as often as you’d like. Flashpoints feature enemies that require skill and cooperation to defeat, and are much more challenging than single-player missions, but they offer valuable loot and rewards. Gather up your allies and get ready for explosive multiplayer action in Flashpoints!

G4 wrote:Star Wars: The Old Republic Now Has "Calendar 2011" Release Window

EA's 2011 fiscal year ends March 31, putting SWTOR's release firmly in the second half of 2011, which means last week’s September release rumors might end up being true after all. It would also be surprisingly close to EA's release window prediction from last year of spring 2011.

During its investor call, EA downplayed speculations regarding exactly how much SWTOR has cost to make, but the publisher did admit it is “incurring significant development costs.” Leading estimates have the price tag somewhere between $100 and $300 million, which EA CEO John Riccitiello made a point to say is “higher than anything we have ever put in place."

As far as getting some of that money back, Riccitiello said EA would be happy with 1 million subscribers, but it would only need around 500,000 to be profitable. Whether that estimate will be enough to quell the doubts of investors isn’t clear just yet.

[Article edited to reflect changes made to reported FY11 schedule for EA.]
