ill try to clear up all the confusion... we are busting our asses to get all the RvE shit straight... that way the factions of JvS and RvE will be on equal ground... at least i am pretty sure thats right... i doubt aard will come in here tho lol... ill keep you updated as i know more stench

It's complicated. Right now RvE is closest to an RP faction for people in JvS. Right now legislation is being worked on to make RvE an add-on to JvS so instead of having just Jedi and Sith as factions to join you'll have Jedi, Sith, Republic, or Empire.
