CHARACTER BIO: JACEN
White tunic with white robes over it. Black leather boots and gloves. Carries a sawed off Mandalorian rifle and his lightsaber, which glows a rich, bright cyan. Flies his ship, the Screaming Barve (see forums). On a scale of 1-10, his skill is about a 6, and he is newly knighted. He has an uncanny gift for shatterpoint, but must still hone his skill. Was a former fleet admiral before taking up the unique rank of Jedi Protector, to constantly remind himself that he always must protect the meek and poor. He has a faithful apprentice, named Ryan Lekauf, descendant of Jori Lekauf. My character follows along the lines of a Jedi Guardian, except when his skills are mastered, he shall be a master of Shatterpoint and Battle Meditation. He came from a rich family, who taught him to be morally and ethically correct. He was trained as a Jedi Apprentice on the academy at Ossus, but left to seek more arcane force powers. He stumbled upon the JvS temple, and Jedi Master Camus taught him more and helped him hone his skills. He’s a deadshot with his custom made rifle, and if need be, he can resort to dark force powers. He has mastered Djem-so, Soresu, and he possesses the force skills battle meditation, shatterpoint, lightning, grip, push and many of the common skills. But his most prominent skill is Flame. He can generate fire from matter, according to the law E=mc squared. Using it, he can use the force to strengthen and spread the energy, to turn a simple spark into a maelstrom.

E=mc^2 states that if you propel matter at a velocity at the speed of light^, then that object's mass would turn into complete energy, since there is a ratio that exists between an objects mass and its energy.

Plot significance: counterpoint to central theme, w/e you prefer, I don't care what you do with me, just don't kill me as soon as you put me in the story! XD

Characteristics: hyperactive, well, crazy would be a better word, strong willed, intelligent, anxious, and insecure.

Talents: manipulation of objects and illusion, manipulation being along the lines of levitation, push, pull, anything to do with the physical world like that,

Combat Style: Defensive lightsaber prefrences, block, parry, that sort,

Other details: Lax, much more diplomatic, probably this would his role in the story more so than anything i suppose.

Details about counterpoint plot: I was thinking more of an inward story to mirror that of dawn's but with much less significance, action, and such, something like a role to discover one's self. when i say much less significant, i mean that it holds no relevance to the story save symbolically

Ugh. OK 1st: Jedi along the Guardian path had no need to learn Battle Meditation. 2nd: The General thing, just no, I cannot emphasize that enough, NO. 3rd: Newly Knighted means you can't have an apprentice, SW canon states only Jedi close to Masterhood were allowed to take an apprentice. 4th: No Ossus Academy, there's no central Jedi Order. 5th: Pick either 1 Form and Blaster skills or multiple Forms, not both, and a Knight is not a master of any Form, if they were they would be a Master. 6th: Lightning and a Grip to inflict damage are dark side powers, so you can't be a Jedi and use them. 7th: Force Flame is a dark side technique, one that most Overlords don't even know exist and that only a Dark Lord could use.

This is why we reject a lot of your elements. Kami, my original character, was a Sentinel and a member of the Masters Council. He wasn't a crack shot, he was an OK shot. He wasn't a practitioner of dark side techniques, despite having been a Marauder. Most powers tired him and ultimately his experience was what made him effective. He wasn't a master of Forms, he was a master of one, and knew some others at a basic to intermediate level. He didn't have a ship.

So given the fact that that was a Council member, Master, and Sentinel, don't you think a Knight's skills should be below that? Much below that?

and fine, ill be learning Djem-so. But can some1 plz teach me shatterpoint in this at some point? Ever since I read how Jacen crumbled that mandalorian iron and stabbed the guy, its been mah favorite force skill. (this is canon, read Invincible or look it up. ps, not my character, the actual sith lord jacen)

you sound dissapointed. maybe you would like to make everyone powerful and make people have no interest in knowing what happens to the imperfect but willfull characters, filled with difficulties in their adventures?

Of course I'm disappointed, but, as Aard says, I have to work my way up the ranks. I just have to accept that. You don't need to attack me for that.

im just explaining to you why you are viewing things wrongly. you need to understand how to write a story, that you cant come up in hte middle and kickass. it ruins suspense and it breaks the flow that is trapping the reader to keep reading.

if you noticed how i was building my character. i started with getting raped by dawn... then aragorn... then lets see: Who kicked my ass next?

anyway. i started low, then had him learn, and refine his skills, i also introduced his brother as a jedi guardian that wasnt a admiral/general: he was a hermit...

which i was carful not to OP, i limited his force capabilities alot.

And if you noticed the elite force, all of them had one thing they did best, they could all do everything adaquete, some couldnt do some things at all, but they all fill a role. and they were THE BEST of the squadrens, and they still diddnt have godly skills.

which would you rather play into force or saber combat or both. (both being weak in both, saber being adaquate in saber almost no force, force being low level force abilities and some saber)

just to start with, like what kind of mindset, when you enter a fight. what do you do?

hmmmm...since theyre both offensive force powers, id like to focus on them thruout the story, along with my saber, but id like to focus on blocking blaster bolts and the force powers

SW Canon. The Force is the flow of life itself, therefore it is fundamentally wrong to use life to hurt or end life. Lightning is allowed only when used on non-organic life.
