I do hope the PS3 recovers from this blow. I just get annoyed at the xbox fanboys going "lol ps3 sucks cause it got hacked n00bs". Like ara said, both systems are fickle in performance.

no. just because you state your opinion, that does not make it true. the fact i even indulge you should show i give some care to what you say in here. normally i would not give a fuck. you have always had a grudge on me, witnessed by me and several other people. it is not surprising you would make accusations when i say sth or am having an argument with someone. i wouldnt normally resort to that, but you dont shut up with the flamebaiting, and so i must show people that you are doing it for more than a neutral reason and certainly not from an objective stance.

i joke with Ptolemy because i can and because it is amusing. not because i think im better than him, because i am not.

wait wait wait. grudge? lol no. no reason id have a grudge against you really O_o. i don't really have a grudge against anyone in the clan that i can think of. i just get slightly annoyed, like i'm sure anyone does who notices the pattern of your debates, when you have that attitude along with what you say. also i never said my statement was true, which is why i asked if it was. i wouldn't have asked you if i thought it was true.

I hear they're having to build PSN from the ground up now

would this mean all the memory(awards,chars) get erased? Unless, mostly likely they'd have a back up to store that?

dunno, but hopefully they do have back up memory storage or EVERYBODY will have to get the achievements again. Minus the people like me who don't have my PS3 connected to the interwebz.

Only part of the structure. i THINK. It would be really ridiculous and humiliating from a programmer stand point if you actually had such a critical flaw embedded so deep into the structure that you would need to remake evth and reset all data. But i doubt that. A lot. Mostly just restructure how its accessed, particularly user data.

Changing Source Code and profile information are completely unrelated, no more would happen to your account then happened when PS Move and Kinect were added to the format. And no Span I'm not saying either is more stable, I just hate Sony, simple.

Dray, Sor, get a room. Yes there's no conclusive proof the information was stolen until someone's credit card comes back with fraudulent charges, but given the circumstances it is highly likely such information was stolen. Sor, get over yourself, in the political realm in this debate with Dray you have less credibility at the moment then Palin, this is why you aren't a Senator, you don't understand politics. Now both of you have make-up buttsecks and get over it.

I can think of a few ways where you would have to delete user data. But, this is the EXTREME of extremes. Im more than confident Sony devs arent amateurs.

Worst comes to worst you can upload the data from the individual PS3s when they connect. But if they do delete the profile information they're gonna have a lot of pissed off gamers.

The Dreamcast was ahead of it's time, it was released before the PS2 and at the time with better graphic capability, but it was shoved to the background for unknown reasons.

I think it had lack of decent game market. It had very niche titles, but it would be really hard to find sth for you. Also, the controller sucked.
