As for Edison, no one ever said he invented his patents from scratch, just that he had a lot of patents. With 1000 patents....well, would end up really being some of them stolen, thats almost statistically certain or sth like that.

And for Einstein....well, lol. TThe theory of relativity is extremely complex in and spread out in its development, but it was Einstein who, like Farsnworth with the TV, developed a great part, concluded, and finalized it for the world to be ready for it. It is like saying Einstein is an asshole because he used Pythagoras' triangle equations(wich you learn in basic geometry) and didnt mention him. In fact, Einstein did mention Poincare later, while Poincare, seeing someone take his work and finish a big deal of it, as well as finalize a complete theorema, never mentioned Einstein.

Because he is an anti-american troll. He takes any opportunity he gets to show off how cool he is by downplaying the USA's role in pretty much everything that it has done to shape modern history, as if any country played as influential a role in the past 200 years in world affairs.

Historians are supposed to be unbiased, i said a fact, that the USA is a leader in science in the world by the volume of scientific papers and discovery alone, not to mention facilities and I am drawn into a pointless debate. I thought we were talking about the present when this debate started, not the last 200 years. I didnt say science or medical research, i said technology, and in technology, the USA, TODAY, is not the first ones to get them. Either Japan or the Nords come up with the crazy shit, germans too. Do you think Steve Jobs invented touch screen multi functional cellphones? Hell no, he took the idea, and sold it to public. The USA are the most influential nation in the last 200 years in a wide variety of fields. But today, in terms of new techno gadgets and stuff like that, they arent. They got NASA ffs, but nowadays, the only thing they are doing is..nothing! Wasted potential and resources. I suppose you wanted me to be quiet about the examples you gave, and let people be misinformed by some of them? I see sth wrong, i try to fix it if i can.

There was nothing wrong with my examples except Penicillin and I confused that with another medical breakthrough I was thinking of discovered by a Jewish American. And its all in the tone. And the USA is STILL THE LEADER in scientific papers and discoveries to THIS DAY. So who really is stealing what? You think any technology made by another country was possible without the USA? No. USA pretty much invented electronics especially computing.

And the British founded the USA, so its all because of the British. See how that argument can stretch?

anti american? no, i was speaking about the present, and you used the argument that the origins of the present technology development are in the past, and thus, its all because of americas influence in the past that today you have what you have in europe and japan and shit like that. to wich i argued that if you want to use that, then lets go even further, and say the americans were founded by europeans, thus its all because of the europeans. If you want to say america has had great influence in the world and it is greatly because of them that we hve what we have, good, but dont tell me that they are the vanguard in techno development today, THE PRESENT, because they are not.

You take EVERY opportunity you get to try and downplay or degrade the USA. And to be honest, I would not take that crap about any country when its FALSE. You have no argument, saying you are going back to the USA being founded by British is inane since the USA disassociated themselves with Britain before all the inventions and discoveries they made. Thats like saying everything can be attributed to cavemen, since they invented fire. It holds no weight. My point still stands, that since the USA has been founded, science has progressed leaps and bounds primarily because of this country. You merely have to try and "win" even though you know you are wrong because your ego cannot allow you to acknowledge the truth of what I just wrote.

I totally agree with what your saying, but it is irrelevant to what we started, and that is, who gets the techno stuff first today in the world, and who is making all the techno developments out there today, and its not America. I can completely recognize their value and merit on the scientifical evolution thru out the years, and their contribution was invaluable for the past 2 centuries, but the last decade, give or take, youve seen the prototypes and the vanguard of technology development come from other places in the world.

Fuck that. Dave had to have a tooth pulled so he has been in pain and very vocal day and night so I don't get much rest. He went in for surgery and since he cannot sit still they always have to give him general anesthesia so I always get worried something will happen since its dangerous to go under. He made it out okay but then he was bleeding all over the place and of course, he is still in pain for a few days. To top it off they didnt even give him a narcotic for pain relief they told me to go get some tylonol...

i have no doubts about that. Medicines and drugs are high profit, so its only fitting that the biggest amount come from America, and that companies invest hard on it. Pity that pharmaceutical companies dont invest on a cure for cancer so much...in the meantime, why dont you buy us some more drugs for your quimotherapy and years long cancer treatment?(Not bashing america for this, this is global).
