I would if i could. In fact i will. I think muslim religion, but even more, muslim sharia is fucking moronic, as much as christian traditions one. They consider women not on the same level of a man, wich EVEN BEFORE CONSIDERING ANYTHING ELSE, is stupid. Sure women are different beings, and they have certain things one hsa to take in account for, BUT a human is a human, and all humans should have the same equality of choice and freedom. Hell i think the western society has been treating women TOO well, if i must talk about the opposite side. I do not like Talibans but i respect them. They never were too violent towards others. That was the worlds fault trying constantly to attack them. Nonetheless, i think that muslim radicals are abhorrent and i have nothing to say someone else hasnt.

So there you go, i told them. But before one can become better than others, one shouldnt stoop down to their level, SHOULDNT HE?

Ptolemy wrote:Human rights abuses? what about the way they treat women and criminals in that culture? The barbaric system of 'justice' they follow. They may not have been able to move around as much at Gitmo but they lived a better life. On average they Gitmo detainee GAINED 20 pounds from the time they were brought in to the time they left. they had complete religious freedom.

OOO thier are being given to much food they are abused!!!!!

So because some people do it, its ok for everyone to do it?

I am not sure who wer have executed in this war... not killed, people die in war and they are not always the ones we shoot at...

Who have we beheaded? who have we stoned to death? Who have we burned alive? How many of our kids have we strapped bombs to and told to blow them selves up at a police station?

the prisoners at Gitmo were treated by far better than they are treating our guys. Point to water boarding if you wish but such a thing was only used on high profile targets and then only a handful of times. They say it was effective and i imagine it was but i can guarantee you, waterboarding was no where near as painful and terrifying as having you head sawed of with a knife...

It would take QUITE a bit for us (the US) to sink that low...

Now you are just repeating yourself.

If you wanna be picky, yes they do worser things there. But because there are murderers in the world, its ok to be a thief? No. Gitmo was never a good idea, as well as i doubt it produced big results, and i also doubt half the things that happened in there would ever be found out. I just mentioned Gitmo either way out of reference, nothing else. Discussion is Iraq here. And my fear that that scandal a while ago, where those soldiers took pics with the naked tied up muslims, is gonna repeat itself, without the pics, maintain the mistreatment. Or not. Maybe they are just there to open a McDonalds and a Wallmart.

actually found it boring and out of date. the whole power of the movie was to show people the reality of iraq, but it came too late. everyone knows the reality by now, so it lost its only strong point, makin it a weak movie.

true true....that's something,. but considering that there are many Americans that still think that America went there to save the world and be heroes....that kinda showcases the point. I agree it would have been better a few years back...but enjoyable nonetheless.
