Besides that there is no difference in ranks between a regular JG and a legendary JG, or a legendary SO and a regular SO.

that is the part i don't like it directly contradicts the new jedi ranking system that was just passed if your a legendary you should be put back to JM no matter what your rank it and then when you come back if you come back you can test for the specialist rank you were before you left if you were a specialist rank

at the rate we are going we keep making new acts and what not we are overwriting the charter and bypassing it.

@champ you have to admit your making this with you in mind even if it will be used in the future your main key is yourself in this one when the jedi ranks were being figured out you said many times you don't like it because you'll be pushed out of your JG rank because of it.... and then you come up with this i mean of course you will be granted legendary status you and ard created this clan... its only a rank man dont let pride get in the way of anything we all know you're good at this game so why does rank matter all that matters is that your in jvs right?

also i think this should be left up to the specific faction leaders and faction councils to decide whether or not someone can keep there rank after retiring or becoming inactive

- Haize

No Haize. Thats not all that matters. I find it DISGRACEFUL that Ares is listed as a JK simply because he didnt post a retirement letter.

if its just a game why does it matter so much? you said it yourself its just a game at the end of the day it doesn't matter even 1/2 as much as rl stuff... don't sweet the small stuff man and your rank in this clan is small compared to other things

Because the actions taken against me were personal. Then it ceases to become a game. Especially when I invested as much sweat and tears.

You people are blowing somethign SIMPLE AND SMALL out of proportion because I am involved in it. Thats the gist of it all. Sad that in the end I will be leaving with my middle finger up instead of having a small and a handshake.

No. You weren't asking for much, you were just asking to retain a rank because you were inactive. It is simple and small but it wasn't blown out of proportion because you were involved. Its your choice to tell us "Screw you" just because your pride has been hurt. Don't take it out on us. Its not our fault your pride was hurt, Champ. You allow things to affect you the way they do. You allow feelings and emotions to take over. Not me, Aard, Span or anybody. Again, I mean no disrespect at all.

Your psychobabble is bullshit. Seriously can it because now you are starting to offend me when you begin to lie about me to my face even if you truly believe it to be true. I find it funny you would even have the balls to say that to me when during every fucking emotional crisis this clan has had, who posted the logical, rational response? Who sorted things out? Oh. Thats right. The emotional shipwreck champion. Rolling Eyes

One day you will realize there is such a thing called "righteous anger". Im surprised you dont know it yet, since Jesus preached it.

see champ your taking it to far... its not that important at all, i know everyone in the council fairly well except dray but i do know none of them would ever vote not because they dont like you because they all do they all respect you and are all your friends now your the one taking this to heart your the one choosing to be butt hurt by this your thinking things out to much not everyone is out to get you man.

I agree with haize this is going WAAYYYY too far, they didn't deny it cause they don't like you, they denied cause they don't agree with you. Why on earth are you even thinking that? Hell how long have you known some of us. You and missy got me to join SnJ wat almost 3-4 years ago? If you keep making it a personal issue its going to become one. then nasty words will said people will be angry then afterwords everyone will feel bad so can we all please calm the fuck down for a second.

The Senate voted 9-1. The clan voiced in the thread they liked the idea. It was opposed by only 2-3 people. That is NOT a reason to deny something that would have affected NO ONE in a negative way. I can only conclude the voting was done that way out of spite. Maybe because I have not been around as much? Either way, its clear I will have to retire since I cannot continue doing my job, supporting this clan without fear of losing my rank and that is something that means a lot to me and I will not stand for.

Legendary Members Act - Revised - Passed - Page 3 Empty Re: Legendary Members Act - Revised - Passed

Post by Layfon Sat Jul 17, 2010 12:57 am

hm no matter what you all think of me, no matter what you believe my personality is, after what i say you guys get mad, i'll tell you this now, i don't give a fuck.

i have a question for you guys, who wants to pay for the server and forums?

champ, i finally actually sat down and read the whole and i read your recent posts. this may seem somewhat weird from me but may i ask you to calm down a bit to respond to me? pm or in here, it's fine either way, you and i always seem to come to an udnerstanding one way or another.

now basically what i got from the act was you wanted anyone who's been in the clan for a year and has great talent should be allowed to keep there rank. now first off, i don't realyl see any idiot GM that would actually remove your rank because of what you do for everyone. my understanding of how clans like this work is the people who pay for everything deserves a little extra am i right? unless someone wants to take charge of paying for everything.

now the act works well for the sith, i can see the problem lying with your faction champ because of how the jedi ranks are obtained. now instead of just putting legendary on your name, could it go further and have it exclude you from the jedi count for specialized in your case JG? that way the spot would be free for someone else and you would keep your rank even when you comes back. there's that conclusion or the jedi specialist limit could be lifted.

i do believe that you did write this for yourself champ, but i know you're not a selfish guy. granted you should be allowed to be a bit more selfish than others. regardless of it was for yourself or not, you are right in the sense it is not harming anyone and really, if you take into consideration what i just said, there should be no problem with it.

the only thing id want to know is if you're going to be forum active or not? it seems a lot of things in the council haven't been passed due you your absence sometimes and that might be where this failed in the council. a solution could be to make your poisition a wild card and have another position made for the council so you can worry about your life more. that also works vice versa, you could just have another position and make that the wild card, maybe make it so that person can only vote if you havn't voted for hte last 4 days or something?

back to the main topic, i do believe that this should be enacted, maybe with some of my revisions? i don't know, i thought they were good ideas to be considered, but thats me. why do i think it should be enacted? because it some people do care about their ranks. there have been may times when someone is considered bad because their rank is lower than others. im not saying everyone would forget champs skill in the game, i just feel as well that if they have that skill and they're proven it for a year they should be able to keep their rank if they decided to leave the clan for real life ordeals. this act seems more like a memorial of those who have left the game but are still forum active and even if they aren't forum active. in champs case, regardless of if he's forum active or not, he is always clan active do to his activities to keep the clan going server adn forum wise. ofcourse, the people who don't agree with me on that can always take charge and pay for them if they want.

Layfon I dont know why but that post almost made me cry. I now feel horrible for even trying to protect myself in all this. I feel horrible for caring about my rank. I feel horrible for giving a shit about some things. I made the act not only because I do want to keep my rank, yes, it was for that reason. But does NO ONE see the main point in all this? I made the act so I can CONTINUE supporting you guys even though I do NOT play the same game as you. Shouldn't that tell you what type of man I am? How I feel about you guys? I "overreacted" to all this because it CUT ME DEEP TO MY HEART to not see 100% support behind me for this SMALL SIMPLE act after all I have given and asked for NOTHING in return. I can't continue debating this right now, I am going to actually go drink some beer now that my evening is fucking destroyed.

you know what

I'm going to agree with Lay

I'm willing to compromise...Lay and me were talking on WoW about this.

It seems more sensible now

So I'll wait for champ to get back but I'll agree to whatever new terms and put this whole ordeal behind us

i agree with lay... and champ... im sorry your night was destroyed

i know i haven't been a part of this clan for very long... but i appreciate all that you do behind the scenes.. i don't have the money to pay for 3 servers (i know you personally only do 2 but still) we could not have all that we have without you... and i just wanted to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for all that you have done... and i hope that we can come to some sort of agreement about all this.... this clan means ALOT to me and i dunno what i would do if i lost it.. im pretty sure there is not another clan out there like this

it still might need a few fixes with liek i said, the jedi side has a weird rankign for specialists, so you should probably add the exclusion from the count like i mentioned.

well for the sith it doesn't matter as much, I think most sith members wouldn't really go for the legendary status

but I could be wrong if any sith want to say they do Surprised

If i can count, which is something i pride myself in doing, then Aardvark + Spanish +(possiably champ) = 3 and Dray + hero = 2 Thats worst case scanrio 2-2 second to worse case scanario 3-2.

I think it passes now if we put it to vote again.

Post by Dray The Fingerless Sat Jul 17, 2010 3:08 am

OUF, im glad i didnt say a single fucking word about this act. Now i can speak.

Champ, if its reworded, ill vote yes. I voted no because it was stupid. It needs working. Span and i agreed that it favoured retired players TOO much. im not talking about YOU. im talking about OTHER players. The act was too skill based, and less socially based. So basically, Beha, or Fatal could get it. even thou they involve themselves very little, great guys thou, but its the involvement thats missing.

Aard, i wanted to reword it, but i had no ideas, and i was waiting for Champ to show up. This was his idea, and i wasnt gonna say aword till he spoke. I completely denied the first version cause it was a stupid version, but ill agree to an improved, FLAWLESS, one.

Champ, if you leave, i will spend the next 7 years training and doing steroids so i can go to America and kick your ass.(not really)

I never intended the current version to be voted on. It was for discussion and debate then to be refined as we saw fit so it had a place in our charter. I know Ptolemy meant well when he proposed it for voting, so I hold no beef with him for doing that. In fact I respect him more for trying to push something through for me.

I may be talking shit cause im drunk now, but I will review this entire thread when I am sober and better able to respond to anything that has been posted since my last post.
