EVERY country has spies in other countries. You would have to be an idiot to not spy on others. You gain so much with so little to lose. I have no doubt those were legit russian spys, much like I have no doubt there are currently a shit load of american spys in russia right now. Its a simple fact of politics, people only make a big deal of it when they are caught.

Usually when a ring of spies is discovered, yes, it is because of double agents moling them out. IIRC, a large group of US spies was caught in Russia about 10-15 years ago. It's most likely that was because of russian agents working in the USA.

Spying is never really like the movies though, its more of a desk job type thing 99% of the time with a terrifying and nerve wracking 1% of the time delivering the goods.

ZOMG HES A SPY AND IS GOING INACTIVE TO DO SPY STUFF!

I doubt the russians will even admit that they are russian spies. When you are a spy, and caught you are generally trained to never admit allegiance.

the cold war WAS GREAT for america and the soviet union. an any country that are connected. With such a parallel way of life between usa and russia both sides leaned on each other to advance society into a more modern way of living. Jets were perfected, both military's grew humongous both economys were doing well ( until the 90's Smile ) i dont know what im getting at other then the fact that 3 leaders of the most powerful nations in the world at the time were all high ranking freemasons. Churchill, Roosevelt and Stalin all dividing up the world at yalta. http://schools.sd68.bc.ca/dove/teachers/rmckean/webquest/Ramona/a_c_roosevelt-stalin-yalta.jpg it could of been worse. The struggle could of been real. Looking back at the cold war its kinda funny how major conflicts between Freemasons nations never took place, except in germany but there was no conflict just a divided people. The wars and battles were against Buddhist, islamic, and other minority nations and look at the Cuban missile crisis, russia told cuba to build missle silos in cuba. When they were building them america found out about it. thats when the soviet union decided to move the war heads to cuba. Then america mis interpreted what fidel said which was hypothetical saying that if cuba was to going to start a war with america that it would be suicide and he would most likely have to attack america before they attacked him. that statement + the conceived ability that fidel could hit most of the u.s with missles make the targets cuba not russia which was giving cuba all the supplys. But gave it to them during very bad timing and did it openly and barely tried to hide it. Making cuba a scape goat for an attack. I believe jfk new this after the fact that he signed off on the bay of the pigs. And wanted to stop the bay of the pigs, and the cia.(but was murdered before he could) But who was the lead benefactor in the bay of the pigs? the guy who housed and got paid to help train the fake cubans. The guy who got paid to let the cia use his boats to transfer the defectors into cuba. The guy who would later be the head of the cia then become congressman then become president. George bush sr. zapta oil company off the coast of Florida was his rig that he ran. He wasnt an oil tycoon just givin that rig by the former head of the cia. You can connect the bay of the pigs back to nixon. and back to jfks assassination.

Tell me this. Who got Lee Harvey Oswald his job? who got to lee harvey oswald first(like arrested him). what was found on him, and the biggest question who investigated the jfk assassination?

Sadly rsG speaks some truth. War fare tends to give us our best advances in fields such as medicine and physics.

yea im kinda saying that its beneficial for both communist and what ever americas side was(democratic? Constitution socialist republic? constitutional republic), to fuel off eachother kinda like the fake beefs in hip hop. But then theres things like america supporting a right wing death squad in salvador in the 80s that claimed to be fighting communism but really was just using that claim to get money and power and was killing thousands of innocent civi's
