Man a lot of this new stuff sounds like people ran out of ideas/new music types. We need a new Elvis to invent a new type of music. This new stuff is just out of control.

thats why i just normally listen to classics, and anything from 90's and back

90's had some great music, especially in the hip-hop genre. Nothing beats some of the earlier Snoop/Dre/Dogg Pound etc stuff. Most new hip hop songs have no inspiration, just emulation of older shit.

70's and 80's had some great dance music too. Freestyle in the 80's was a lot of fun.

i loved the music of the 90s... tho i wasnt so much into the rap/hip hop scene... i was more into the pop/boy band scene at the time (due to my age) but i still liked it... 80s had some nice stuff too... i don't listen to too much before the 80s... other than some stuff i would hear all the time as a kid cuz my parents listened to it

Alright, Champ, one can't simply walk into — I mean — make a new music type. Not anymore at least, seeing as how it would take influence from various other sources and genres of music.

Also, did I mention that it's been 5 GODDAMN YEARS since their last album? After speculation that the band's broken up and the lead singer recently releasing a solo album, It's just great to hear that The Strokes are still together making music you can just listen and rock out to.

I am sure they said the same thing before Rock&Roll. People just need more imagination thats all.
