Yeah, uh, the volume on my computer isnt working. Even when i watch videos, i cant hear anything

1. Yes, ive checked the monitor settings (and back of monitor)

2. Yub, i checked the volume tab on the toolbar

3. Yezzir, i checked the back on the computer itself to see if the plugs are in

Start > All Programs > Accessories > Entertainment > Volume Control?

Sometimes you have to tell it to accept output.

sorry, windows 7 is different forgot. I still have XP in my head.

dont see it, I see 'adjust syste volume' but ive already been there and that didnt work

Start, Programs, Volume Control, Properties, there should be check boxes, make sure all your connections are checked off.
