Good commercial, most likely shit game. MW2 was the biggest boner kill ever. So far I hear that it's better than MW2 but still worse than CoD4. I can alrdy see the spam of the crossbow and ranged knives/melee knives that u dont even need to have a shot in to slash with.

Well the PC version is fucked up; first of all, stutter and lagg + Steam crashes for half the players...

I'm not gonna lie, shooters are always better on consoles. They aren't as "pretty" but the lag on PC is always the gayest fuckin thing

I dont get much lag in shooters. Shooters are made for PCs, not consoles. No matter what you tell yourself, they are made for PCs. The performance level is staggeringly way above. This bullshit is because Treyarch rushed the game and beacuse they are trying anti piracy stuff with this steam shit. Ive seen the game, it looks more of the same, wich is, functional. But really no redeeming value...

I don't get why they just don't make a mouse and keyboard for consoles. I mean seriously, you could even redefine a keyboard and make it specifically for gaming. Something that is just DURR to me.

You're insane. You could practice for years a console shooter, and if I had a mouse and keyboard on a PC I would kill you within hours of practicing.

Consoles are better for shooters, they're made for quick response and each button does serve a purpose, while a computer, even in the most complex game, is going to have a shitload of unused buttons that you can accidentally hit and end up not doing anything or doing the wrong thing, something you rarely see with a controller.

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops TV Commercial: "There's A Soldier In All Of Us"
Bullshit Aard. Usual shooter controls are very fluent in a PC, ask anyone who plays shooters online. I dont get where your getting this confusion thing, do you get confused when you type in the keyboard? it is a very much more complex action done on keyboards, and yeah, you do some mistakes once in a while when you type, but now imagine a game where you use like 8 keys on your keyboard. Anyone who is trained in typing in a keyboard will never have problems using PC controls for games. Not to mention the OBVIOUS, PROVEN fact that anyone who plays a shooter is inherently better at it in a PC. The reaction times and precision are beyond any shooter in the console. It is literally, in another level of skill. True that it is harder to play shooters in a console, but that argument is like saying its harder to play CoD on an old 5 year old computer than it is in a recent one. The difficulty is brought upon the impairment of the hardware.

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops TV Commercial: "There's A Soldier In All Of Us"
On a keyboard, assuming you have ur keyboard maxed with controls u can easily place the input of on a controller, you have to reach across to do it. So if my "Enemy spotted" button is P becuz everything is taken, it is worse then just holding RB for a second and sliding ur analog stick to the left to give the same command with a much less chance of getting caught bare assed.
@Champ: They're two different skills. If we took it to consoles I could prolly spank you because of the experience I have with them. You've been playing PC purely for how many yearS?

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops TV Commercial: "There's A Soldier In All Of Us"
He meant PC vs console player. one on a pc, one on the console. you would lose. guaranteed. unless the PC player was a complete noob uncapable of aiming whatsoever. and enemy spotted? reach out? no. you see how fast you can type on your keyboard cog? whats the difficulty to press your f keys or your number keys? none whatsoever. not to mention, ENEMY SPOTTED? WOW THAT IS SUCH A VITAL PART OF SHOOTERS, THAT REQUIRES IMMEDIATE REFLEXES.

Ah then you're wrong Dray, I've played shooters on virtually every platform available: Atari, Dreamcast, DS, Gameboy, Gamecube, Genesis, N64, PC, PS1, PS2, SNES, Wii, Xbox, & Xbox360. My reaction times are slower on a computer despite being able to type at over 100 words a minute, then on a Console. On a PC I'll do average to under average, on a console I'll kick the asses of most people. PCs aren't MADE for games, not like this, too many unnecessary keys and the movements for typing is no where near the same movement for games. Want me to prove it, type out a paragraph without looking down, now, how many times did you have to hit backspace? I'd say at least half a dozen, most of you probably had over a dozen unless you looked down while typing.

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops TV Commercial: "There's A Soldier In All Of Us"
Ive played hundreds of games, prolly more than a thousand, ive had consoles, ive had PCs, ive tested consoles, ive tested PCs, ive tested games, and ive experienced shooters in them both. IM as a motherfucking gamer as anyone can be, and me, along with, oh say, half the world of gaming, have exponential skill rise when we play a shooter in a PC, rather than in a console. maybe you just suck at it, it happens you know, but no i dont look down at my keyboard when i type, and most people dont either. You seem to confuse shooters with other stuff. A shooter you need to aim and click. The rest, walking, crouching, running, secondary, and if it is widely known that an RTS is ideal for PC(this is a game where being quick on the keyboard is really crucial), then a game where teh few 7 or 8 keys you need to know are not a problem. You aim,and click, that is what an FPS is ALL about. This is your personal experience you speak of, i speak as a person who interacts daily with games and gamers, on a constructional and active level, and i can tell you, not one of those people, NOT ONE, will tell me that playing a shooter in a console is better than playing in a PC. MAYBE SOME PEOPLE LIKE IT BETTER, MAYBE IT FITS WELL WITH THEM. Taste is always subjective, but in statistics, performance wise, the proof is out there. Years, hell, almost 2 decades of gaming, have proven that the First Person Shooter genre is better designed for PC, keyboard and mouse if you will.
I have regular Call of Duty sessions. Hardcore(Thats 3 shots on minor body parts you die, 1 shot in the head or a shot from a powerful gun you die, no crosshair unless you aim down the scope of a weapon, and that weapon would need to have a scope, grenades knock you out even by scraping yu). You need around 0.1-0.2 second reactions if oyu want a decent score. Higher skill players can do it all in before the 0.1 second. That is spotting enemies, aiming, and shooting all in under a fraction of a second.

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops TV Commercial: "There's A Soldier In All Of Us"
Then PC is your preference, doesn't mean it's better. I have many friends who are like me and prefer console controls. In a shooter like Halo you need to be able to access multiple controls quickly those controls primarily being: Fire, grenade, reload, switch guns, melee, jump, crouch, zoom, & the 4 movement keys. Now assuming you have your hands on the normal right-hand mouse and left-hand WASD then one hand is entirely taken up by PoV, fire, & grenade. The other hand rests three fingers on directional keys leaving two open mostly towards space(jump) & a crouch key. That means in order to reload, switch guns, zoom, or melee you have to move your fingers. On a controller you left-hand will operate direction, grenade, & zoom while your right-hand will be operating fire, reload, PoV, crouch & jump. This leave melee and switch weapon the only buttons you do not already have your hand resting on. Two vs. a keyboard's Four. This is perhaps the most concise example I can give on how a controller is a better fit. Most likely the gamers you're referring to are those that grew up with PC games as their first or most easily accessible game medium. Give someone an option from the beginning and I'm willing to bet people will choose Controllers over keyboards.

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops TV Commercial: "There's A Soldier In All Of Us"
No they wont. Really Aard, ive had this kind of things studied. Most people i know that have Xboxes, dont play shooters on them, unless its sth like Halo, wich is exclusive to it. Im not speaking of a circle of friends here, im speaking of society and your whole excuse of key access is jus stupid. So your telling me you press all four direction keys, crouch, zoom and reload at the same time? At most any given time, you have, wihout counting the mouse, 4 keys pressed at the same time, thats 4 buttons on the controller(moving diagonally, crouched and reloading at the same time). I can tell you for sure those keys are just a move away from your finger. And no Aard, most people who start playing shooters dont prefer consoles , in fact, most people find them frustrating when they start using them. I know this because it is part of what i have to do, statistical study of this, not a circle of friends again, im not alking from a haning out with people, im talking thru sheer data of over the years results. Now im not saying people pick up a shooter on a PC and start doing good, no person can play a game well from start. Its the level of adaptation thou that strikes remarkably faster on a PC. You seem to think im speaking like any other person who ojust plays a lot, when you know for a fact what i do and that this kind of information is from a large number of people. PC shooters, and you can ask really anyone who makes games and has to, you know, KNOW their audience statistics, that PC shooters are actually amped in difficulty sometimes, or that console versions have to be toned down sometimes.
Also you keep ignoring the MAIN argument about FPS, wich is for all your crouching and zooming and shit, twich reaction is impossible in consoles, and no, dont go saying it is possible, it isnt, because of hardware impairment. reaction speed is limited by analog movement, while as with a mouse, clicking is a far quicker action, because it requires minimum effort, added to the BIGGEST reason why PCs are better, that mouse reflex speed is limitless, at least to human limits of movement speed, since no matter how fast you try to move your mouse, it will never slow you down. Twitch reaction alone is enough reason to make FPS better designed for PC, since its non existence in consoles ampers in many cases, the skill of players who would totally see their full skill blossom on a mouse set.
I will give you that controls are mor accessible on a controller, since a controller is shaped to be accessible, but that does not mean keyboard isnt, and the difference between their accessibility is isnignificant, when you compare the difference in aiming and firing speed and maneuverability between a mouse and an analog and trigger( wich because of their huge distance, cause more strain on firing, then on a click of am ouse, wich requires possibly the least movement and effort in user-hardware interactivity ever created)

well I tried playing MBII and got pretty frusterated with that, considering how many different keys to press and all.
Any shooters I get I play on the 360 but it is my preference too I guess.
ALSO, Treyarch is 100X better than Infinity Ward, Zombies is amazing...
