ALL Sigmakers - Look here! [C&C needed]

Aight lads, I've been giving some C&C to some of ye, and to show ya'll I'm not very arrogant and thinks I am perfrect, I'm going to ask you all (even Non-sigmakers) to give me some C&C on these two latest signatures I made yesterday:

They look great, but I just don't really care about Megan Fox anymore, and when you post sigs like that, just sorta makes me think of you as a pimp, and not in a good way. Also, what are you trying to convey here? You like Megan Fox and chicks that look like porn stars? I do like that whole blocky looking background on the Megan Fox sig, so it'd be cool if you told me how to do that... in GIMP.

That being said, they're up to par with all your other sigs. just as creative and experimantative (heh, new word).

Well I picked stocks on random cause I like their poses! ^^

(+ who doesn't like pornstars...come on... haha!)

And the blocky background is 3d work in Photoshop actually ... I am not quite sure GIMP can do that. I might be able to save it as a PNG though, for you to use? :S

Just sose I can use it on pretty much anything.

You can make it a bit smaller if you'd wish, I just want it so I can use it on anything I make.

Oh! Well it does now that you say it. But it's 3d cubes made in Photoshop CS5 actually, I guess you could make it easier with some filters indeed, but eh. ^^

Also, it seems like you altered the colors to be more yellow...

I think you need to be alot more creative with your sigs, Most of them look like you just used a picture,I suggest cutting the person/character out and making a custom background yourself.

If you did cut them out then its not really showing, thats why you need to be more creative.

Not everything has to be a render.

In fact, a lot of things look great with the present background. All it might need is a little altering.

Yea I know,but I just think alot of his stuff would look better if he did that.

Making Backgrounds is the most fun part for me.

Thanks for C&C, aye and indeed these are just two stockimages where I haven't rendered them.

Would you mind sharing some tips/hints on how You make your backgrounds mate?

Well I like to use alot brushes,but if you see any pictures of landscapes or anything like that you could use that.

Look at Aards sig for example,He told me wanted the background to have something to do with prince of persia so I used some prince of persia concept art as the background,Then what I did was made a duplicate layer of the background,gaussian blurred it, then set it on overlay to make a glow a bit,(If your using gimp,Idk about photoshop, I think its the sam concept though.

If you want to make custom backgrounds I suggest finding some cool brushes,I usually just go to Deviant art and gets some,

They can be used in Photoshop too just open one that you want to use as a layer, and set it to addition.
