So basically you're saying it sucks because you know how it works? That's like saying lasers suck because we know it's just concentrated light. I thought it was a nice way of putting it, "Anakin's the strongest" "Why?" "Because he was born with the best ability" It's no different from the reason why athletes can be great, and it doesn't make the story any less inspiring. Besides, you can actually see some badass Force powers in the prequels.

Possible Translation: Having the Force be mysterious and unknowable sounds better than knowing the exact cause relating it to a science. Before the prequels, the Force was something vague and not fully understandable yet amazing. Having the midiclorians takes that 'awe' and imagination awayz

people lack the ability to see what a good premise and ambient is sometimes. midiclorians do nothing of useful, and take away a bit of the mix that star wars is. people forget that its more than a sci fi title.

It's an atmosphere technique and one of the best ones they could use given the fact that they had to bring the Jedi Order to life rather than just talk about it.

And I don't see how it takes away the mystique, the only thing they say is midichlorian = Force ability. In fact they leave it purposely vague going out of their way to say that there's no rhyme or reason to why they show up or in what numbers.
