Launcher problems

So anyone know how to fix the tor launcher? Neither the original launcher nor the "fixlauncher" will work. They activate for about 2/10ths of a second and shut down. Error report on the primary launcher "unable to load main bundle". Error report on the "fixlauncher" goes by too fast to read or screen capture.

ive never seen this problem, have you tried reaching out to support on homepage?

I'm really not that invested in the game to deal with idiot tech support. I figure if someone here knows the fix that's great otherwise I'll just chuck it up as Windows being Windows.

Feel free, reinstalled as far as I could go, the fixlauncher ran this time and the launcher ran too(on and off with the error message), but it didn't do anything while it was running. I've got the debug file too, though I don't see anything that should cause problems in it. It also tells me I don't have the "right" version of windows despite support for XP.

I know right. I was enjoying the game for a few days and then my launcher stops working. The boarderline of the launcher shows and then it says SWTOR launcher has stopped working. After that it wont show up period.

I've tried many things people have suggested but non of them work. It seems there is no reliable way to fix it. I have yet to even see a tech support thread solve anyone's launcher problems. It's more like "I have no fucking clue but I have to look like I know what I'm doing." It also seems this is a common problem for SWTOR players. Y U NO FIX DIS FROM DAY ONE?!?!?!

I'll probably try the simplest solution they've presented that's worked for SOME people which is:

Launcher - fixlauncher - launcher(if no go) - delete patch folder - fixlauncher - restart comp - fix launcher - launcher.

But I don't expect it to work.

Tried, failed as expected. One would think this problem is something they would have solved in Beta.

it is my opinion for some time now aard that you have done sth to your computer that we have not thought about yet, being sth glaringly obvious, wich intolerates games on it. i dunno what it might be.

The only questionable thing I've done is to my DVD drive, aside from that you can look up most of my specs on X-fire, only info not there is that I have a 600watt power supply and a slave drive. Both drives do have functional Windows software on them, one 32-bit XP SP3, the other 64-bit XP SP2, but the 32-bit drive is fully slaved to the 64-bit and is only used as storage.

Btw, have you downloaded the game assets, or is this before youve even downloaded them.

AH. maybe corrupted assets, during the download maybe. try redownloading. i dunno if they check for asset integrity with their launcher, or if thats what the fix launcher does. regardless.

People with windows 7 have this problem also.

Fortunately, the launcher one day decided to work again and I haven't had trouble since. *Knocks on wood*

Unfortunately, I don't know why it was fixed, so if I have this problem again I don't know what to do.

I've had this problem. It's annoying and I could never find the exact cause of the problem. One solution that worked for me was installing it on an older computer of mine and copying the folder to my gaming computer.
