I still only have a little Iron, no diamond or redstone and I had to steal a bow off a skeleton so it'll be a few days before I feel comfortable venturing into MP.

actually ive been playing with Tekkit, wich is a super mod for minecraft.

The hunger mechanic annoys me, had to spend a good chunk of time erecting a chicken coop and hoeing a wheat field, then securing it all with fences and torches.

its easy to get food in this game so...

I'll join the bandwagon once i get it downloaded on my comp

Yeah well when I first entered I killed and gathered any animals I could find because I was used to them respawning quickly, then I got nuked by a creeper before I could store any of it.

yaeh... i dislike the entire food mechanic overall, it forces you to move. i guess ill take it for the xp mechanic. But i still torrented (before i reinstalled windows) the 1.1 patch before they removed minecart boosting. i did so fucking much because you could travel any distance at top speed. like i could travel in 10 min what would take me a day to do (skyrail ftw)

i have enough things to do such as beat robin hood legend of sherwood forest and other things before i get back into minecraft.

You don't have to move, you just have to plan ahead, I have a chicken coop, wheat field, sugar cane field, and a pumpkin field so I've now got a lot more food then I need. Now I can get back to mining after I erected my 128x128x7 wall and stockpiled enough food to last a looooong time.
