Yeah aliens are anyone... or anything from out of your territory. Not sure what boundaries count according to the true definition, but Mexicans are considered aliens to North America.

We won't know exactly until we meet them. So for now we can only imagine them. Who knows when we will have the first contact with Aliens.

Re: UFOs
What do you think will be the reaction of random passers when they see an UFO landing? They'd scream for help, even if the aliens, or however I should call them, are coming with peace.
I think we're far too hostile.

Not sure if it's Hollywood, or the people that still watch so much movies. Seems hard to separate real life from the fictional one, hehe.

Curiosity can be very powerful, sometimes, more than fear.

Re: UFOs
Here's how a first contact scenario would go for your average joe. Curiosity: Find out what it is. Then we diverge is what we see appears and act non-threatening curiosity will continue and outside help sought to understand and form a means of communication. If it looks or acts hostile however self-preservation takes over, if we believe we are stronger we strike back, try to kill it, if it looks stronger then we run, seek help and engage in escalating levels of armed response. We are programmed this way, to be curious, but mistrust what we do not understand, and self-preservation is one of the most powerful instincts, for most people it is the most powerful.

It's the only reason the human race has survived, the only reason most species have survived.
