Help please :(
My computer seems to be shutting down with no reason, It already happened 4 times, since yesterday.
I was just playing JKA and suddenly it shutted down, then when I tried to turn on the CPU It started to reboot like crazy, then I called my cousin, he kicked it (yes literally) and It worked well again O.o but now is shutting down again so if someone can help me with this, It would be very appreciated.

Check your fans and make sure they all work and the heatsinks are clear...
Sounds like it may be over heating

It is overheating, Pto's right. I had this problem with my last computer. Get one of the air canisters, open your computer, clear the dust off the fans and the heat sink then check your fan connections, pulled them out and replug them and make sure none of the wires are frayed or loose.

Re: Help please :(
That's a power supply, the batteries are part of an uninterruptable power supply that will keep your computer active even if there's a temporary glitch in the flow. If they're burned out and your power is such that you receive regular fluctuations in the current then that would explain why it keeps shutting down.

Well, I'm still alive.
And Aard, should I buy a new power supply and clean the CPU, or can the power supply be fixed?

Re: Help please :(
Opening things is usually OK, just don't mess with the innards unless you know what to do. As far as repairing it Exile, technically yes it can be fixed, but not by you unless you happen to be a pro welder(yes I know Dray wrong word, can't remember how to spell sauder), and just about everyone you take it to will tell you to just buy a new one.
Now you can try to keep using it in this state Exile, but I'd suggest getting a surge-protector/power strip and making sure it's well out of the way of anything that can bump it loose if you do. You can also buy a new one, depending on the wattage you need this can range from 50$ to a couple hundred, so at that point it would be better to just buy a higher end PC unless the one you're using have some serious specs.
My recommendation would be to clean it, put it back, clean the PC as much as you can with canned air, get the surge-protector and keep the whole power system away from anything that can rattle it and see if that works. I myself don't use an uninterruptable power supply, just a standard one because it was $100 cheaper so as long as the current you get is stable it'll work just fine.

Re: Help please :(
It can be a pain with the touchpad so I'd recommend getting a USB mouse, but yeah no reason it wouldn't work just fine on a laptop.

Re: Help please :(
Then all you need to do is shop around for a good laptop. You can usually get a good i5 for around 500, i3 for 400, and Dual Cores, depending on the type, for anywhere from 200 to 300.
