Assassin's Creed Revelations Gold Eyes
I noticed a good portion of the time Ezio's eyes are gold in the cutscenes. It looks pretty sweet and makes him look like a Sith. I also noticed some of the other characters like the head assassin of Constantinople and the first den leader (big black guy) both have it. So that rules out over exposure to the apple.
I thought it might be a cool new way to show someone has eagle vision, but then I noticed during the cutscenes the golden eyes would randomly turn on or off instantly. I can't help but feel like the Assassin's Creed Team is trying to throw in plot hints and Easter eggs as usual.
What do you think?

If they had focused on the eyes at any point, brought up an observation, or had Altair with the same eyes then it might be a hint at plot, but alone I'd say it's more likely just a color glitch.

A very cool color glitch. You'd think they would have noticed and fixed it since it appears like 50% of the time. AC is known for putting hidden messages in their work. AC2 mostly. I don't think they need to focus on their eyes to give hints. But you may be right. I haven't found anything that gives any hard evidence what its for. Eagles eyes are kind of gold though. Maybe the turning on and off is the glitch, and its made to be on all the time. Strange.

AC works on a different engine, the ones used in GTA and Saint's Row where you have a large city to explore with no loading times. Because of all the moving parts and constant rendering it's very easy for elements to glitch out of place or go away entirely to reveal part of the skin on the other side.

And I don't remember any glitches in ACR, that's why they call them glitches, they're random and don't have any recognizable pattern to them. When it's able to be replicated with a certain set of circumstance it becomes a bug.
And while you haven't seen any glitches in GTA 4 I've seen characters have their limbs be inside their bodies, the skin being swapped and even a complete lack of any skin whatsoever. I've seen trees materialize out of nothing in Saint's Row. Hell I ran across a glitch in Brotherhood where I went to go for a horseback assassination, got caught on a character, and instead of the animation breaking and me hitting the ground I floated and kept rising until I clipped out of the map.

Well my personal opinion is that it was intentional. If it is a glitch, its a very cool one.

Re: Assassin's Creed Revelations Gold Eyes
Most likely a glitch, since I have experienced certain other glitches in the AC series like Ezio's arm doing a weird contortionist pose when he's climbing up a building. However in ACR most of those glitches were taken out all except the "Golden Eye" sequences. I believe they're a lighting glitch since it only happens 50% of the time so you said and i believe it. It could also be that Ezio has to get some Clear Eyes but oh well.

I haven't seen any other characters with the eye glitch except Ezio and his other two head assassins. It might me related to his model because I think the main constantinople assassin (one that dies) uses the same face model.
