Yeah this has been an unconfirmed rumor only in the fact that Ubsoft hasn't technically said we're right yet. I still wish they'd gone with late 19th century Jack the Ripper, but I have to admit that time in London wasn't as significant as the early Renaissance in 2 and the Crusade era Dark Ages in 1. Wonder if they'll release it before their normal November release date because as a fan I REALLY WANT IT NOW.

ACTUALLY AARD I HOPE THEY DONT GO FOR THIS ONE. one of the most important pieces of history regarding the game is the explosion of French Revolution. When equality liberty and fraternity bursted. THAT would be the perfect setting.

But the point the game's been trying to drive home by showing us the modern age is the fact that the Templars are WINNING, they have control of the government, news, and science fields globally, which means the games will have to reflect a change in the Assassin's strategy of winning constantly after brief setbacks as it's implied in AC2's Truth puzzles that for all of the 20th century the Templars have had control and driven history. A far more suitable place would be the late 19th century, to show how it happened with(as much as many people would be pissed) your character BEING Jack the Ripper. An assassin taking out Templar agents disguised as the lowest members of society and ultimately that the Templars are able to spin this as a mass murderer, and the assassin's having to fall back to the last land not under their sway at the moment, the U.S. having just overcome the burden of the U.K. and Confederacy slavery support, and their ultimate decline to where they are now. I don't like the Revolutionary War or French Revolution scenarios as I know they will both end with what I've come to expect "Assassins win!" This idea runs completely contrary to what the modern segments have shown.

hardly win, more so of a breathing room where you learn more stuff. like the assassins used that time to make safeguards for the future.

Yes they won the battle, not the war, but that's the point they need to be shown losing the battle otherwise what we see in the past and what we see of the future don't match up.

uhhh does anybody remember the part of history called "The Trail of Tears"? where the indians were sent on a huge trip and many died on the way? this assassin would actually make a great placement because the american military destroyed all the Indians. lets say that the Templar's controlled the american military back then and the Indians were too affiliated with the assassins creed. idk im jus saying a possibility. i think this would be an AMAZING time to have the templars take major control cuz this would show them basically taking control of a whole nation

I would have preferred a french revolution assassin like dray b/c the French revolution is agreed upon to be the start of the modern era. There are still buildings to climb in paris and france unlike the usa at the time. Plus, the french revolution had so many political groups and clubs (templars) vying for power during the reign of terror...including the famous assassination of jean-paul Marat in his bathtub by Charlotte Corday. Charlotte Corday would of been a part of the assassin order and stuff. I don't mind the idea of an american assassin's creed but it makes more sense to me if it still happened in europe.

Yeah, I prefer the John the Ripper idea, but the French Revolution would have been a MUCH better setting then colonial America.

Looks like we'll be getting back to the Assassinating part. I didn't mind the battle on the wall in Brotherhood or the very well done chase in Revelations, but there will always be more satisfaction in standing above someone unseen, knowing you hold their life in your hands.
