well.... the only thing i see is that the input to the computer can be dynamic to the situation. so if youre working on MS Word the touchscreen changes to a text mode, with keyboard n such. if youre playing a game, it changes the layout to a gaming station, etc etc. besides from that, i see no real uses apart from quirky useless tech. why would a tablet need dual monitors in the first place? it comes to a point you gotta think of human limitations. you dont need 20 monitors in your computer, because you cant multitask that much. hell, im pretty sure the limit comes to 3, anymore becomes inneficient. and thats on a complex coding environment, where you have framework coding, designing and testing separately for example.

i thouht the point of tablets was their mobility and size...having two monitors is counter to the nature of a tablet.

well you got a book on one side and the paper you are writing on the other...

I can think of a couple of similar applications.

I've got Acer Iconia Tab A501.. well, more than I really expected. Fast and without troubles. But yeah, can agree with Ptol about reading. That's the only point in that. For movies? Double-screen sucks. For playing as Dray said pointless... I could expect there only virtual keyboard, like multimedia ones but with more options. Practically, that would be the best use for the tablet with dual screens.

why cant you have a writting window and the page of the book opened side by side in the screen? youre really just expanding this notion to a bigger, more expensive scale. furthermore, how exactly you gonna write? you need to pull up a keyboard, wich takes away all the space.

this was the same fact with the Razor laptop, it had that stupid touchscreenie part of the laptop for gaming, without realizing people can only look at one screen at a time. it works on the DS cause the DS fits both screens in your field of view since its so small.

it really comes down to dynamic input in my opinion. nothingelse .

It's a cool idea, but not very effective or useful for anything unless you're a die hard multi-tasker perhaps.
