Much better. Guess I should give this thread a point. So solution two kinds: 1. Clear cache. If that doesn't work, 2. Close Chrome, find Chrome folder, rename Default into Backup default, close, restart chrome. Turns out my configuration data was corrupt so I had to rename the default folder so that a new one would generate.
