I guess these lists always depend on the person, but what do you think?

You can't. Games aren't rated or judged by influence, but by quality of the game such as the gameplay, graphics, etc.

Re: 60 most influential games of all time
Well you can in certain circumstances, that list isn't a good example of influence in games. Things like KotOR, Ultima, & Deus Ex did affect how the industry went about making RPGs from that point on, in this case you can call them influential, same with Farmville who set the pace for casual games, and Halo whose mechanics are used almost exclusively now, but others like Starcraft and Medal of Honor are just popular and otherwise haven't influenced other games.

think of the C&C series that influenced the RTS genre for a decade or more.

Cant agree with that ! Starcraft is icon game in rts. It's huge buisness connected with it even now, after 13 years. That game had influence on all gaming tournaments making them popular. There are even schools in Korea where you can learn how to play it. That game shown how to make commercial stuff for games. It isn't just popular, this game has it's own place in history of gaming buisness.
Oh and i can agree with most of games in that list . It's remember me when i was playing on my amiga in pong, mario or dune 2

Re: 60 most influential games of all time
honestly, most game lists are false. The reason is it's based on opinion of the list maker.

Yes but it didn't massively effect how games were made making it not influential, but popular.

Doesn't influence. Influence means it affects how other games are made.
