Well to get back on topic. Do any of you think this was the right move? General rule of thumb when you make an enemy of an organization with a religious base is to never kill the leader because it makes them a martyr.

If we got in close enough to kill him it was possible to knock him out and take him alive. Conspiracy theorists are going to go nuts with this, I can predict right now that the biggest theory will be that they killed Bin Laden so he would become a martyr, so attacks and threats would increase to justify increased invasion of privacy measures. I don't agree but I'll tell you now this theory will pop up.

Well it was dead because dead is safer for the troops. To capture and ex-filtrate, you have to sneak up on him, tazer or gas him, & bypass the guards with an unconscious target, likely you will fuck up at some point and get in a firefight that, if we're brutally honest, will result in around half the team dying at best. To kill him you just need a sniper a mile away with a steady hand and good aim.

Al Qaeda has stated they have a nuke hidden somewhere in europe and planned to use it on the US if Bin Laden was captured, im just wondering now what will they do now that he is dead...
