Gimp problem
Well this has been happening for a while, but recently its been getting worse, for some reason gimp just slows down my computer so much, I'll use photoshop and I'll get no slowdown at all, I can even multitask etc, But when I open gimp, it takes like 8 minutes to start up, and it just slows down my computer like crazy, any solution to this?
ps. I already know about the ram etc, and my laptop is really shitty, but I mean if photoshop can run perfect on it, whats wrong with gimp?

well let's see you have 2 image manipulation devices PLUS w/e else. I'd suggest getting rid of the unwanted things you don't use on a regular basis.
Or getting a new laptop.

GIMP is good, noob.
Maybe your GIMP is 32-bit on a 64-bit computer. Make sure your gimp version is right for your processor.
