This topic contains debate about current situation after the massive earthquake Pacific ocean aswell as its effect on Fukushima.


Do you guys think that sth like the Chernobyl shit might hit the fan for second time in Fukushima ?

Chernobyl was a full meltdown because of lax safety protocols and poor maintenance. Since then we've regulated Nuclear Power plants much more strictly wordwide. So it's unlikely to happen again, although I do have to admit if a full meltdown ever does happen, I wouldn't be surprised if it occurred under similar circumstances. An 8 magnitude earthquake topples even industrial buildings.
