Agreed. Veterans day is a big deal. I love this holiday because it pays honors to the people who keep the US safe. +rep Zohan

Zohan, I probably know more war vets then you do, my dad is a war vet, so was my Grandfather and Great Grandfather. I just find the day annoying, no one pays respect to war vets on veterans day, they only use it as an excuse to give a holiday and give a half-assed celebration that's more a mockery then any real respect.

nto my holiday, so i dun care much, but its a laughable holiday nonetheless...Ara, Zohan, you wanna pay respect to your vets? Go get them off the streets, give them some food n shelter, becuz otherwise, this day is just another way of degrading those poor men who fought and live in the shit nowadays. Its a mockery of a day i say...

Theres a VFW close by that i go to a couple time a year. My church has lots of vets. My grandfather is a veteran from WW2. And we do go every now and then to VA homes and take care of veterans. Plus dray i do give food and money whenever i see a homless person. Its not like you cant spare a few dollors and a large pizza.

In my opinion you don't need a day to honor war vets. You should honor them everyday.

Thats true but you dont really remmember every day. Thats why they have a special day. You should always respect vets. Just like you always should honor your parents every day yet they still have a mother and fathers day.

Mother's day and Father's day are just as bad. They tell people to respect their parents once a year.

They need to have an actual holiday for veterans day, like fireworks and shit
they need to have a holiday, i don't know if they do, for public service people
Policemen, firefighters, teachers Etc.
They need to have those days as REAL holidays, not just day that they call by name and do nothing
i love our countries men and women in service and vets but honoring them everyday is not practical, we should be appreciative for our soldiers everyday and show respect when we see them,
w/e

we also need to give them a more steady stream of money for their lives, after serving in combat enough
