Counter strike

I just got counterstrike 1.6 and i can find any servers. It says it cannot connect to a master server. I did some searching and found it was a common problem. Ive downloaded masterserver.vdf and replaced it and put it on read only as the instructions say. I even tried from two different sites but i still cant get any servers. Anyone else ever get this?

had it, once i dowloaded source i could find shitloads of servers

probably firewall or something. I suggest getting source, as much as I love 1.6 it is too old now and only has hackers and crap mods.

The whole reason i have it is for mods. Some are actually pretty cool.

yea but if you want the multiplayer your best bet is CSS

People have made it work with Masterserver.vdf. I just have to find out how to make it work for me. For 10 dollars id rather get dealiest warrior off PSN. Or a used game on Ebay.

made it work but i keep getting autokicked out of the servers after a few seconds for some reason. And the description of the kick is in a different language. SOmething about injecting.

Ill figure it out. CS isnt really what i want to play anyway. Its the mods.
