not quite getting this...so youre saying because Netflix and such companies have utterly increased the amount of broadband use, the ISPs are trying to get more money out of people?....

dont trust humans with de regulation champ. Also, the Canadian government took action and told the equivalent of the FCC there(I THINK) that if they dont change it, government will overrule them and cancel this bullshit out.
