No servers.

I just installed JKA on my new laptop.

But before this on mount and blade warband i had trouble with servers. They wouldnt appear. It would say searching and nothing would come up. I have internet connection obviously. I play face of mankind and that works fine.

So i thought maybe it was just a problem with my version being cracked and all.

But when i installed JKA (which is legit) and tried to get on a server, non appeared. Im gonna try entering an IP address right now but does anyone know of similiar problems or a solution?

note: both M&B:W and JKA use similiar server list setups. Idk if that helps determining the problem.

Edit: Its says VM_Create on UI Failed. I think it might have installed wrong. SP is fine though

Edit: Some people say on the internet that with windows vista and 7 that i need to right click on it and run as administrator while others say i need to reinstall. Both have people that claimed it worked and the one that said to run as admin said that reinstalling is stupid. So im gonna try that and if it doesnt work then ill reinstall.

Had this problem before, just didnt remmebered.

Clicked "get new list" and it worked. Was clicking refresh the entire time lol.

Solved me own tech prob for once.

Ya go ahead. Delete it if you can. But theres no point in locking it if no one posts in it.

Let me just point this out: Google your issue first, then attempt to fix on your own for 12-24 hours at least before posting a thread lol.

I HAVE NEW PROBLEM. Its not really a problem i just dont know how to use it. I use 7zip and its been a pain in the ass. I extract my files but they dont show up in explorer or work. The only way i see them is in 7zip.

winrar FTW

Get the Winrar trial. It'll tell you your trial period is up but you can just close the box.

The file is for a mod. The zip file contains pk3's. I saw ways to do it but i cant see the files out of 7zip. as in if i go to my computer and go to the folder it doesnt show up. The only way to see it is to use 7zip (which idk how to extract to explorer) or when you attempt to download something to that folder, you see it.

You still think i should use winrar?

have you even tried using winrar? you asked for help... 2 knowledgeable people both suggested the same thing... try it... then come back with qualms thanks

Ive already googled it and yes i tried winrar. Winrar doesnt see it either.

This is such a pain in the ass. And theres probably a simple solution too. -.-

just as i thought, a simple solution. And it only took 2 hours of starring at a screen to stumble upon it by accident. Well its better than nothing.

come on zohan... this area isn't just to help you... maybe someone else is having the same problem and could use the same solution you are using... so please share

Amoung the tabs was one called compatibility files. It was listed there for some odd reason. Guess windows just likes giving people problems. Anyway I also had to "unblock" it because it was locked. UAC seems to think every single thing comming from the internet wants to knock up your computer.

Did you try to drag the stuff from inside 7zip or WinRAR onto the desktop?
