Just so you don't get the wrong impression, DT, Jedi don't use the scripts, we poke manually.

how and why? it doesnt even fit character that sith even have lightsabers. I thought only jedi crafted their lightsabers, the only people who should have sabers are jedi and ex jedi. The true sith are a red skinned colored species who had a force connection, but i dont remember ever reading about them making lightsabers like jedi. In the original trilogy the only people who have the lightsabers are the jedis, and darth vader(ex jedi) if yoda has one, he doesnt show it. And if you recall the emperor in the return of the jedi actually talks shit on lightsabers(at the end), and didnt have his own. Leading me to believe he didnt like lightsabers, which is strange because he uses one in ep3. Not to mention what about when luke gets force lightened in the face but doesnt melt like the emperor did. So technically the jedi should have the best lightsaberist. unless theres another unknown race who uses sword fighting styles and is force sensitive. Rolling Eyes

you got that from the ep. III review videos that were linked to in that thread that was just posted XD

Im not breaking any rules chuck norris, and this is the cantina, anything goes. Back in the day this was the spot to just do random things. this is what its says" Welcome to the Cantina. Kick off your shoes and stay a while... Anything goes here, as long as no rules are broken." its not really a big deal bro

Lucas never said anything one way or another about who created lightsabers. And I actually believe SW is the perview of the fans at this point, of all the collected games, comics, movies, and novels he's only had an actual hand in maybe 10%.

i find it funny that it's required for jedi to know how to poke and the sith learn poke for fun. =O in any case, scripts are stupid and all pokes can be beaten easily by merely out timing your opponent... you guys think too hard. bounce Rolling Eyes

youre right, obi wan when describing the lightsaber in a new hope calls it a "jedi knights weapon" and in return of the jedi the emperor calls it a "jedi's weapon" and the only people who have lightsabers in the old trilogy were jedi. For me, its questionable.

Obi-wan's phrase was actually carefully worded. Jedi philosophy is that the Force is the manifest consciousness of all life in the Galaxy. In turn they believe killing anything using the Force is equivalent to a sin, you're using life to kill life. The phrase itself was carefully worded to reflect this philosophy, the Jedi may use the Force for many things, but Jedi believed it was wrong to use it as a weapon, a deterrent, an aide, fine, but never a weapon. Therefore a Jedi's only weapon is his lightsaber, whereas a Sith's weapon is the Force itself. That's why many fans felt calling Starkiller a Jedi was improper since he had no problem with using the Force to kill.

Poke binds suck and won't work on JA+ because of the macro-bind protection.

Well...
I have poke script and to be honest...its sux:D It work great if:
1. Ur oponet walk into it
2. Server is not protected
3. Ur oponent isnt good saberist
4. You spend much time to learn how aim it.
In others case player with poke script fail.
When script is execing then player with script cant move his saber by a little time. You van counter him by red or yell.
To be honest, same tactic work against manual or scripted poke.

In my opinion, any scripts in game are cheats, for example I have script to switching between red and yellow excluding blue. But never use it,cos it same like aimbot, wallhack or speedhack.
Practice aim, timing and footwork...it will help you Telos

why da hell you need sth to change saber styles? the waiting time for your character to do that is so huge, and you can change them yourself so quickly, its pratically unneeded.

lol... i writed I have script for it but didnt use:P Scripts like it use many base players and i dont know why?
To be honest switching between styles is same kill tool like poke, fan or glitches:) Many times I use swiching styles to make more dmge in hit. I think its some like bug in game, similar too staff glitch for example.

What ive found out so far about it all, is that it's useful skill to learn but some players tend to rely on it and just spam it which can be quite annoying, you just have to take time and listen to there saber swings and if close enough go for the attack when they have just finished swinging.
