VGA's anyone?

I think Red Dead Redemption deserved it simply because it seemed like a well done game to me but about the VGA's..... The commentary was just so freaking terrible...........it was just so painful to watch.. and even if they were trying to make it terrible IT WAS JUST TOO PAINFUL!! and NO BATTLEFRONT 3 WAS ANNOUNCED... **sob**

Dude think about all the other games that came out months ago, The games that win are usually the ones that get released close to VGA. The show is so biased for me its driving me nuts. There was barely any new titles shown either. Honestly, that Halo Reach segment they had with Fillion, was a huge 'WTF?' for me =__=. Plus, Reach really shouldve won something good. It deserved that much :\

No, it won what it deserves, multiplayer. That is what Reach has of good.

The campaign was repetitive and already written if you've read the books.

Oh yeah, i tink the campaign was DECENT. when they did it in the previous games.

In all seriousness, it was an ok campaign, but i forget it 1 hour after playing it. Unappealing. And if you didnt NOTICE, the main characters are copy pasted from Republic Commando, i mean, INCREDIBLY copy pasted.

Also, why does it matter if Red Dead Redemption came out months ago.. still a fantastic game with a fantastic single player albeit a little short. I should try GTA4...

Red Dead was infatuating at times, and like GTA, relies on this formula, albeit it is fun for its sandbox free mode, but the story goes like this:

Talk to guy, follow him on your horse somewhere, talk abit more, shoot some guys, chase down another road, end of mission, rinse and repeat. It is the GTA formula of doing game story. Unnapealing.

YOU went to play Mass Effect either expecting
A)turn base fighting game
B) full blown out reaction time shooter.

and you got both. The gameplay is awesome, maybe a bit too easy if you ask me, but difficulty isnt much of a standard that makes a game. The story is remarkably fucking good, the graphics are awesome, the interactions are great, the characters are awesom, th environment is awesome, no drag ons, it has immense immersion, and i swear to god, one of the deepest introspective thoughts ive ever had in my life at one point in the game.

Red Dead like i said, has a good environment, good setting, good character, but the gameplay...please, piss easier than Mass Effect, not innovative and glitch filled. And again, the old formula of Rockstar of story telling. No, this is not a great game. It is a fairly good game. And it is definitly not the best game of 2010.

Oh and Mass Effect came out in January.

Rockstar only know how to do GTA, so they make an "original" by taking GTA and rolling it back 400 years. Mass Effect 2 was great made you want to play it over and over just to see how all the pieces would fall. Like Dray said good story, good graphics, interesting characters, and on the harder difficulties thoughtful gameplay. God of War was a good game the first time around, now, like PoP it's just repetitive the story is interesting if not wholly original, but the gameplay never evolved. CoD is one of the only two of the five listed that deserved to be listed, I know it has haters because it's basically just a completed version of MW2, but it's a good game in it's own right. Reach only got there because it had the word "halo" in the title.

I had played Mass Effect only a little bit and didn't like it but I will look into Mass Effect 2 maybe...

Red Dead just seemed like a good game to me despite its flaws. You can't just generalize the game as exactly like GTA. A game made by the same studio, you would expect similarities... Anyway I liked the STORY involved in it although it was too short for my tastes. Unappealing for you but whatever.

ANYWAY, if Star Wars Battlefront 3 isn't announced in 3 more months I will have lost all hope................................................

The game was from another perspective in the book fall of reach i dont see a problem with thatz, and i wouldnt expect the campaign to be majorly different since their going through a war thats involved in all the halo games =_=

Red Dead IS GTA...in the Wild West. Basically its Grand Theft Horse now. Im sorry Daaa, but it is. I play almost all GTAs, and i played Red Dead, and thats what it is. I dont blame them, but it is what it is.

And, wow, yu didnt ACTUALLY play Mass Effect 2, how do you expect to know how good or bad it is?

I never said anything about the second game, only that I didn't like the first one.

Disagree, they fixed a lot of stuff in the second one, most people bash on it because it wasnt as EPIC ENDING as the first, but i dont look at that.
