Double Whammy.
So a few weeks ago i've received a laptop and as of getting it set up everything and stuff. The problem is the other computer i was using is acting up. When started it will not respond to anything, (mouse, keyboard, nothing at all) responds. So i was wondering if it might be something to do with USB connections like the keyboard and mouse, or its due to adding the wifi box wrong/incorrectly or something. Now another thing thats interesting is the mouse for the old computer works here on this laptop. However it'll punch out and not work at all. Where i'm forced to re-plug it in and hope it registers.
So any suggestions?

sounds like hardware problem...did you have any electrical accidents in the house lately? i once burned out my keyboard and mouse in a storm, but the PC was alright.

laptop works fine, its the desktop comp thats messed up. the problem is the mouse, keyboard, and speakers that are connected to the desktop don't work. I tried the mouse on here and it doesn't respond right at times. So im wondering if it is a hardware problem in which i have to go get a keyboard a mouse and speakers....

Re: Double Whammy.
Bump!
found out that it's not a hardware issue. When started up it'll say
USB overload. Which i took it as the main usb port to the modems is over-loaded. which seems to be the case. I know the situation now its how do i fix it? Have in mind i have 2 modems, one is wifi and the other is a regular modem that is connected to the wifi modem. (Of Course.) So any helpful suggestions on me being able to use my other comp?? or is it totally a lost cause?
