are you trying to install the OS? if so have you tried changing your startup sequence to boot from cd first in cmos? then restarting it with the disk in the drive

I need it in order to get Windows live and all that crap. It also doesnt let me download iTunes. I got the DLs over 5 times.

It says I need an update for the Windows live to connect or some shit. Then halfway in it fails
