GIW 7 - Yavin

Too many mods probably.

i was wondering why he couldn't load a base map... i tried ctf3 first... and that was voted down... then i tried duel6... that was the one he couldn't join

CTF maps in FFA make everyone spawn in one spot.

I couldn't connect when it was the campaign map. And I use only JA+ and a dismemberment mode.

What? They should have been using the Yavin Duel map.

Uh, maybe it was that. I remember they mentioned using a campaign map before and it pretty much looked like the second mission in SP on that JA+ tracker thing

i was told... "it lags" that was the second idea... it got changed out from under me... i thought we were supposed to play lag or no lag... i dunno who changed it to ffa3 but i wasn't too happy about it.. im sick of doin all our battles all on the same map... if we want to do that.. maybe next time we should just divide up tatooine and play risk for a lack of a better word

we could just make the rules on selecting map/planets more strict? like having to deal with it?

^ that was what i wanted to do... and since im kinda single handedly running this shit i thought i should be able to do it that way... im sick of people screaming "lag" and it goes back to ffa3... i gotta reread the rules... im not sure if we put that in there or not... but i know it was discussed

EDIT its not in there... so there isn't shit i can do this time... but i will make sure that it gets in there for next time

You're the man in charge of this shit. There's no Rule stating they can change it so put some backbone in, put your foot down and tell them to deal with it.

EDIT: And if any Enforcers, Regulators, or Server Admins try to contradict you point them out to me. This is an event, something you are organizing, your say in this goes farther during GIW then a Councilor unless Clan Rules are being broken.

Go for itz spidey. But then again, since there arnt many sith this could cause jedi to win a couple just by forfeit for sith not having enough players being able to get involved because of lag/connection issues

i didn't "start" it... about halfway through our last round season whatever you wanna call it... champ started a war planning committee to change the rules a bit and try to make it better... after about a month the threads in that forum died... i saw champ on xfire and asked him what happened to it... so he told me if i wanted to head up the committee i was free to do so... so i got moderator of the GIW forum and i led the committee changed the rules (with their help) and now pretty much keep it going, keep the rules followed (as much as i can) so i would say i now "lead" giw... but i didn't start it

I know I read somewhere that if nobody could decide on a map to play on that it was to be changed to ffa3. Maybe that was in the old rules and if it is, that's my bad. I did change it because I believed that rule was still in effect.

like i said in the new thread... no biggie... misunderstanding that i blew out of proportion... ill see if i can dig up the old rules... wait yea.. let me see if i can find it

EDIT: went through the planning committee archives and i know i brought up every old rule in a seperate thread along with a thread for each new rule... and i don't see anything about it at all... aard if you see this send me the old rules maybe im just missin something

I implemented the policy after the whining last GIW, but it only lasted until the old GIW ended.

Then that is my fault. I thought that rule was still in play so I executed it because it was holding up the event from actually starting.
