You know Nihil, i didnt think of it then, but one of my best friends has bright red hair, and has some freckles..

BUT, he doesn't have light skin, ain't sensitive to uv light, and I guess he has good pain tolerance since he does MMA...

So it isn't always the same. But he's about the only one close to a ginger I know.
