Quran Burnings on 9/11 539w

I feel the need to point out this man's family tree probably doesn't divide more than once or twice...

Anyway, if they are going to burn the Quran I'm going to burn their bible, seriously this people need to go die in a hole, far away from the rest of civilized humanity, this is the kind of freedom of speech that can be stopped as the Supreme court Ruled.

This is dangerous to our safety, that is, of our troops. You can protest, but Muslims don't understand freedom of speech because they have never been introduced to that idea, and they think, well heck, they're burning my holy book, why does the U.S do that.

we heard about that and a guy in the mosque gave a speech regarding that. Again, its about not stooping so low, and in the Quran, the Bible and Torah are also considered past works of God, so we are not allowed to burn them and there's no reason to do so.

Instead...a program decided that for every Quran they burn that day, we will distribute twice the number of Qurans to non muslims to help them understand islam better. Much better than burning bibles ya knw?

Well it is like what said about the Mosque. Just because you can do a thing does not mean you should. The first thing that jumped to my mind when i read this was Nazi Germany.

Question though. You remember the bibles that were 'confiscated' from American servicemen in Afghanistan? Anyone know what they did with those bibles?

Just curious if anyone here pays attention...

i don't recall any bible burning from any muslim group...if there was then they are fucked and stupid. Basically speaking...I wish muslims abroad would be more like American muslims because Im pretty sure if they knew abt this Quran burning...they'd call a strike start burning things (not the bible tho) and cause general chaos. Esp in my home country. Because their stupid.

THere are extremists from both groups...they are better off ignored than actually paying attention, whether negative or positive, to them.

this burning is effing ridiculous...it wont help or solve anything in a positive way :\

He also said that the muslims burn our flags over there and basically we need to do exactly the same thing...but with their version of the bible. Revenge isnt the answer imo, not the right solution

friggen dolt :\

Indeed, when people(meaning stupid americans) think of Islam, they think of terrorism. Christianity as of late might not be as extreme AS OFTEN as certain Islamic groups, but they have been just as if not more so extreme throughout history. I've heard of at least a dozen different "Christian" groups that turned into violent confrontations(like that one were they moved into south america and built a whole city, then ended up committing mass suicide, FFS I can't even remember the name), and thats just in our part of the world. Now lets go back a few centuries, anyone remember Bloody Mary? Or the crusades?

However, I dont believe this is a Christian issue, I think its just another reflection of much of America's hatred towards Islam. Maybe you don't see it boldly portrayed in the media, or you don't see that many open acts of antagonists of Islam, but you ask any Middle Eastern immigrant in America on their experience and they will all have several stories of strong prejudice acts against them.

To them, Islam represents rules, restrictions, control. It's a religion that has a large number of followers that are devout, and they lead a life with many moral restrictions, mainly because so many Muslims actually care about their religion and aren't a bunch of self idolizing hypocrites who think "I can do whatever crap I want and Jesus will still love me if I get Baptized and go to Church every Sunday". Every single religous discussion I've had with the Muslims I met has been interesting and in depth. I'm sad to say far to many Christians I run into have little to no interest in the Bible, its history, canon, teachings, or really anything about it. Christianity has far to many people like this:

that's true to the most extent. The only reason we ourselves dont follow Islam too strict, because it has a LOT of restrictions. Strangely, I agree with every one of them, they all have reasons, but for the average human, when comparing to American society, its almost impossible to implement. I already consider most 'Christians' as atheists because they really do not follow their religion an inch and have no idea or clue with regards to it. Either that, or they go extreme and (wrongly interpret) use the meanings of the Bible to instill hatred towards any certain group...it seems publicity is more important to them than the actual religion tbh.

The same things happen in Islam, but not as much in America, simply because in America, after actually seeing all the different ethnic groups, people learn to think more on their views and see the actual power of what they are taught.

Go to any muslim country and ull see loads of Muslims like Christains here, that take the religion for granted...and won't do anything abt it.
