im not saying the new stuff is better or the old stuff sucks. its like ive been de-sensitized to the old metal so it doesnt hit the spot anymore. the rifts arnt crazy once you heard them a million times. and you hear more crazy rifts and beats that are harder to sync and play just blows your mind and leave a gaping hole for more.

if it was up to me. i would throw lyrics out the window. I love the beats or jams. lyrics soundnt make the song it should be a bonus. thats just me tho.

i just think old metal is soft and musicians are better now then they were when most of metal was being trail blazed.

i put them both on a equal stand. lyrics give u a theme, and he capacity to sing along, and if they are well written,you identify urself with them, in anyway ur view of them is. instrumental is equally important, but i am quite picky to call sth a masterpiece. most metal isnt a masterpiece. its nice to hear, even the old ones, u get a chill. the new ones...new metal bands nowadays, most of them, just sound....annoying to me. yay more noise....

bit of Muse,
absolutely no death metal band,
liek one song of Breaking Benjamin,
bit of System of a Down,
and i cant think of any else now.

new stuff has some of the songs good just some .....some bands also make cheap covers of older stuff which i find just ridiculous. They should make new stuff not ruining the older ones.
